Or at the very least, "thwart" some swarthy hired patsies?

"See? See? You DemocRATS said we were politicizing the terror alerts! Wrong! Wrong! BAD libruls! BAD FOR AMERICA!" </freepershriek>

There's nothing like some deaths to get an unfuckwithable sympathy bounce. Anyone else think they could be that evil?

1. They'll probably bomb some protesters
since those people are far away from the GOP's pasty butts.

3. Well, Hitler and the Nazis were that evil and since these neo-cons seem
to be following in their jackboot steps, I could believe they would be that evil. Towards the end of WWII, when there wasn't a smidgen of a doubt that Germany would be defeated, Hitler ordered a scorched earth policy. He put out orders that all the food and fields of food that were left in the Reich were to be destroyed.

Cities were to be burned. Livestock were to be killed. Nothing should be left standing that would sustain a post WWII Germany. He wanted the allies to enter a nation empty of any resources and full of starving and dead Germans. Fortunately, for once in the history of Nazi Germany, none of his henchmen followed orders.

4. This bunch is so stupid, it wouldn't surprise me one bit
if they bombed Bush himself just to make a point. Just might be the first thing they have done in the best interest of the country.

5. Since Bush and the cabal probably wouldn't be at the
convention until the last days, they would probably do it sometimes in the beginning, then of course there would be no convention and they would declare martial law because all Americans would be all sympathic towards them, like after the WTC attack. Chills me to think of the possibility.

6. That's what I have been thinking all along.
Of course, the conventioneers will "narrowly escape" danger and a few dozen protesters and New Yorkers will be sacrificed on the altar of neo-con fear-mongering.

7. it's not the repukes....
both reagan and bush clarify one thing: the utter contempt and dismissal of democracy, especially a 'working-for-people' democracy like USA was moving towards in 60's 70's, that is held by the men who rule and have ruled our society for generations, and done up for sale by the bushit media. one thing though...they seem to value certain type of life: notice that the death toll from 911 actually was very small (one airliner had like 25 people in it, inc. crew)as if the planners went to trouble to avoid killing too many white men, rich ones.
they could do anything, cuz they know they be blamed anyway for anything the 'all-cia-do' does.
the busheviks giggle....

9. I don't think so, but the fear of attack will be used...
Mr Rove's script calls for an ever-increasing drumbeat of threats of terror attacks in DC and NYC leading up to the RNC convention. The RNC will be said to be targeted, because, as they have already tried to spin, that "terrorists" wish to do a "Spain" on the US elections -- to frighten the people of America into voting for weakling Kerry who will surrender our nation to Al Qaeda, just as surely the Spanish did by bowing down to Al Qaeda and ousting Aznar. The fact that the reason that there is in fact NOTHING cowardly about the people of Spain, and that they ousted Aznar because he LIED to them (in a manner modest compared to the way Bush lies to America) -- well, that's too complicated to for most people to understand, right?

The script calls for a brave and heroic George W Bush to DEFY the terror threats by showing up at the convention in NYC -- he will "taunt" them, and the nation will cheer (so says the script). The media will say, "What a brave man who loves democracy so much that he would risk his own life to fulfil the democratic processes of our great nation! HUZZAH!"

Remember -- when George W showed up for a Cheneying *baseball* game after Sept 11, this was hailed as the unbelievably heroic act of an extraordinary War Leader. This theme will be expanded upon for the RNC convention.

BTW -- Bush *knows* no one is *really* targeting him, so he can feel safe as he acts tough and resolute at the RNC conference.
