The Anti-Chomsky Reader
Horowitz, David, Editor in Chief,

Mr. Horowitz will talk about his book The Anti-Chomsky Reader, published by Encounter Books, and other topical issues. He will respond to telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail from viewers.

1. He is absolutely poisonous. He is repulsive to even to look at. But
every time he opens his mouth antiacademic, antieducational, antifreedom, and hateful person.

2. He hates the fact that he was once an extreme leftist, so now he projects
that anyone even slightly left of him must be a lying satanist.

Perhaps some of you who don't have to go to work until later and have the time would be able to call in and challenge the garbage within himself that he loves to project onto anyone who dares to be left of himself.

46. That would be hilarious, but it would never happen
One or both would refuse to participate, but if it existed and there were enough people who wanted it televised, CSPAN would run it.

country. If we don't agree with *, the God Almighty, we are psychotic, unpatriotic, etc. Why is it that anyone who disagrees or challenges the government is a traitor, aka liberal?

8. Do any more than maybe 20% of people even know Chomsky?
Honestly, is Chomsky getting that much play or press that Horowitz really needs to address this issue?

Horowitz is a mouth breather. Literally and figuratively. Just watching him pant and wheeze his way through interviews is frightening.

on edit:

I generally try to avoid cable 'journalism', so I am completely shocked that C-Span would provide a forum for a hate-spewing paperhanger like this guy.

24. Horowitz: Jimmy Carter "disgusting" and the "worst ex-president"!
Just turn back around everything he says about others on him - it describes himSELF perfectly.

Psychologically within himself, he implements the same tactic that Rove & Co. do with propaganda - accuses the dems of all the things the RW is guilty of, preemptively.

29. unbelievable
The host cut off the caller for name calling yet allowed horowitz to slander everyone in the democratic party.I don't mind solo guests but it is abominable when a person is allowed to level such vitriolic charges without rebuttal.Horowitz and Bush must have went to the same school for literacy and diction.

40. Apparently it's only OK when horowitz does it...
Like he did while trashing Chomsky, Moore, Carter, Kerry, and everyone to the left of Atilla the Hun. One big ad for his so-called book and website. So much for elevating the level of political discourse in this country. Actually, people like him (and Ann Coulter and The Savage Weiner) do a far better job of exposing the nutjobs of the far-right than we could ever hope to do.

Watching horowitz is better than a dose of Ipecac in the morning. :puke:

I first heard about him here, but I never had an interest in what he said or wrote. I became a liberal without his influence. But, somehow, all liberals are like Chomsky and vice versa.

I don't get it.

28. I won't be watching
Horowitz is vile but I did find a link if people want to find out more about him.
I figure most people here may know this already but the right is attacking our colleges (Horowitzs crusade) right along with trying to line the courts with federalist judges.

http://www.mediatransparency.org/people/david_horowitz.htm

David Horowitz represents one of the right's favorite kinds of people: lapsed leftists (See Marvin Olasky).

He is the president and founder of the Center for the Study of Popular Culture (CSPC), which is a well-funded ($350,000 + from the Bradley foundation alone in 1998) launching pad for his and others attacks against supposed liberals, the supposedly liberal media, and public television in particular.</snip>

48. Something very wrong with Horowitz
As I sat their astonished that they let him go on and on with the pure and obvious vitriol for anything or anyone that did not fit into his maniacal thought process, I began to notice that he constantly rubbed his hands together, tugged at his nose, and his collar. He seemed a tad nervous that someone would suddenly call and be able to actually confront him for the fool or nut case that he is.

He is a joy for those cons that truly don't know what the hell he was saying but he voiced those words that call them to battle: Leftist, Liberal, Communist, haters of George W. Bush, traitors, etc.

He is one scary dude.
