Ridge aasked if the RNC convention should be rescheduled.
I just heard this on our 11PM news.

Ridge sidestepped a question about whether the convention should go ahead -- its main item of business is formally nominating Bush.

I posted the link because I thought you might think I was hearing things. I actually had to check their web site, because I thought I was hearing things too!

I'm not sure what I think about this.

6. I thought of that too.
Drag out the time for shrub to still receive $$ and Kerry can't spen more than the money from the Gov't.

I don't know. I feel I'm buckling under the conspiracy theory too much here.

8. I don't when you're dealing with this gang. History proves they will do
whatever it takes to stay in power. I don't think you could discount anything with them. I wish it weren't so. Life was so much easier when trust existed. Question is did it ever really exist?

2. Perhaps they will cancel
It is will lead to unnecessary scrutiny of the party platform and will attract protest. They are probably moving to cancel the whole god damn thing. NY is going for Kerry anyway.

5. I wouldn't be surprised in the LEAST.
Of course, they'll say they're doing it to promote safety or whatever. Maybe they'll even trot out some captured "terrorists" who were going to try and pull another 9/11. They could use that as an excuse to just cancel the whole thing.

From there, it's not such a huge leap to recommend that the elections are cancelled for the same reasons.... :eyes:

10. Then they will say they will just "opt out" of the matching funds..
since the time is short..and they have plenty of money from the extra month + of fundraising..

They are liars, cheats and whores.:(

12. Maybe this is laying an excuse to keep Bush away from the
convention? I think that the acceptance speech could be a real "break it" moment for Dimson. His last press conference and SOTU address were pretty bad, bizarre, actually. So maybe Bush will videotape his speech? So it can be edited (translated) into English.

14. They can't be looking forward to the debates or to any Bush public
appearance unless tightly scripted. One thing you can count on is that it won't be business as usual. They will dodge and weave to avoid opportunities for public scrutiny.

So why would the RNC be pissing themselves and thinking about rescheduling?

the convention.

The boy's in a bit of a bind, I think.
