2. It's so good to hear
the Kennedy's are stepping up to the plate again. They've been demonized for so long by Bush* and his rw fundamentalists.

He endorsed Kerry early on. I wonder if he's interested in Sec. Interior or EPA director if Kerry is elected.

5. I heard that, too. It's signifigant when someone in his position decides
it's time to speak that directly. He has positioned himself as a man who will be viewed as an enemy of Bush league people from now onward.

May he be provided the protection denied his relatives. It takes a far stronger man to face that grimey bunch than for any of them to clump together in their violent contempt for the human race.

8. He's good.
By the way, Kennedy is one of the very few people who I've ever heard mention the word overpopulation.

9. Gregorian - doubt that's true - why dont you give a link to it hon?
overpopulation is a theme of the Scaiffe dirtbags.

What do you have against the UN BTW.

Favorite theme of rethuglicans, dont ya know. like what
that dumbass tried to do to it because it wouldnt sanction
a phony war in Iraq.

10. That was on one of his first Air America interviews

That UN quote is from a song that I heard. Don't you get it? It's not anything against the UN.
Edit- I forgot to explain. The quote is with respect to the US. You're either with the US, or you're with the UN. Maybe it's not as obvious as I thought.

And regarding overpopulation, you had better find youself a math book. There is no theme here. It's a reality. Read Dr. Paul Ehrlich's book, The Population Bomb. I've been sitting here biting my nails for thirty years over this. And noone, almost noone is willing to look up and see the light on this incredibly significant subject. It's socially complex, because it's extremely threating, to most people, to even discuss it. I'll say this about population- it dwarfs politics in it's driving force. It is behind everything. Kerry can't solve most of the problems we are faced with, because they are driven by something much larger. Something noone wants to see. The population. But we will be facing it soon. As soon as the developing countries want what we have had. I'm as left and as Democrat as they come. Bush just aggrivated the problem. At least Kerry won't do that. But the world has some very big reconning to do about this subject. You either see it, or you don't. So I don't intend on convincing anyone. I'm just venting. It's been a long dark road for me. Traffic, housing prices, wars, you can almost name it, is a direct result of demand. Think about it. Demand is primarily due to population. It's not a theory. It's not a theme. It's a fact.

11. Soylent Green is the solution
(sarcasm)

It's the most pressing issue on the planet and no politician will take it on until it's too late.

15. Thank you.
It always feels good to know I'm not totally alone. Yep- noone will touch it. I can understand why. But to a fair degree, it is something that, like anything in nature, is in equilibrium. But it's about the real quality of life. Do we want to subject ourselves to the messes we now live with, at the very least. And at the worst, war, famine, disease? The alternatives suck. I find it amazing that people can dance all around this elephand, yet not see it. I think it's because people feel guilty. It's easy for me to point fingers, because I don't have kids. Ok, enough. The more I blab, the more I get myself into trouble.

12. But Dean said you can't do that yet. LOL. At least not this week.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-07-27-dean-usat_x.htm

"Dean said the future of politics is interactive "two-way campaigns" modeled on his presidential campaign: Dean supporters suggested slogans, formed a "Dean Defense Corps," wrote their own fliers and decided where to distribute them.

"There were a few little slip-ups," Dean said with a chuckle. "You can't call the president a fascist. ...You can't quite do that. And we're not trying to do that this week anyway."
