New Bush Bumper Sticker... Has Anybody Seen This?
Edited on Sat Jul-31-04 08:11 PM by freedomfrog
On edit: never mind... somebody else beat me to it:

It's smaller than a regular bumper sticker and it just says "W 2004" and there's a picture of an American flag on it.

I've only seen it on one vehicle (an SUV, of course), and it's the ONLY sign of pro-Bush sentiment I've seen in months. I pass a handful of Kerry (or Kucinich) signs on my way to and from work and occasionally see a Kerry (or Kucinich) bumper sticker (I live in Kent, Ohio and work in Cleveland), but the Bush stuff has dried up like a snowflake in Death Valley. Six or seven months ago I would occasionally see a "Bush/Cheney 2004" or a "Sportsmen for Bush" sign in the back of someone's car but they are gone too.

I was very interested to see that this is the kind of sticker they're giving out now. When they're reluctant to put Bush's full name on it and leave Cheney off altogether, it seems pretty obvious that they know there's a problem with the way an awful lot of Americans see their boy.

2. They Remind Me of 1972
Nixon's mane had so much negative baggage connected with it that his bumper stickers said "RE-ELECT THE PRESIDENT".

here is San Antonio. I haven't seen many */cheney '04 stickers this time around. Actually I have seen more Kerry/Edward stickers in my part of town. :bounce:

4. There is so little support
for the resident up here in Maine that the first time I saw a dubya bumper sticker it stopped me in my tracks. And it too was on an SUV.

5. Seen a couple here in SC, and wondered - can we make our own, only
only with the "NO" red circle and slash image over it?

9. They can put "W" on the uniforms of their storm troopers. Much
simpler than an American flag and gets the point across.

8. I've been seeing that old one..."W - The President" on black.
It's a square sticker with W in white really big. It's hilarious that I always see it on University of Alabama stickered cars near campus...with young kids driving. Do they really think he's cool?

13. this is the one - supposed to be chic, I suppose. Can you get a nice
fat, indelible marker and sketch a circle with a diagonal line through it over the W? Without being seen, I mean?

15. Looks like "The Omen" Movie Poster...I saw one on a SUV here in Marin Cty
Yuck....

Great idea about the indelible marker...sadly on this one it won't show across the black well....maybe drips of blood coming off of it instead?

18. Red Paint in a Paint Ball Apparatus would actually make it look like BLOOD
Which is about as accurate of a portrayal of what W stands for....

16. I saw one...ON MY MOM'S CAR
I was speechless. I knew that she usually votes Republican, but she doesn't usually do bumper stickers unless she really likes the person. I left some Kerry info on her counter, and the next day she called me and asked me if I needed my "liberal propaganda" back, or if she could just throw it away.

21. I thought about that
but I figure if my mom has reached the point of Bumper Sticker, there is little chance of me changing her mind. I hope to maintain a strong relationship with her, and feel that it would only push her away from both me and Kerry
