7. Colbert: "DeLay, aka 'The Whip...'"
Asking a TX house dem (using a Texas-shaped pillow as a victim's visual aid), "Show me where DeLay redistricted you."

21. Yes, but he's not just 'short,' he's 'elfin.'
Sad to say, in our superficial, mediacentric society, there's no way someone of Denis Kucinich's physical stature will reach the White House.

10. Kucinich got applause for opposing Bush unilateralism
...and the Colbert bit about the Texas dems was not too hard on them.

He framed it as a story of "runaways" like a tabloid/daytime worry piece.

When he did the bit about "show me where DeLay tried to redistrict you" with the pillow, that was a parody of child psy. talk about abuse...

in other words, he was framing DeLay as an abuser.

and they had a map showing how DeLay wanted to redistrict, and every part of Texas except for Austin was red.

11. Not to mention, Colbert slammed the NM Freeper
who was saying 'get out of our back yard.' Colbert said, 'how long have you lived in New Mexico?' To which, the 'Puke responded 'two weeks.'

on the Comedy Channel (1/2 hr. show)! I've got my VCR set-up to tape it because I am going to bed. Its been one hell of a week but I'll get up in the morning to watch something truly inspirational - that is, the NEXT President of the United States! :D

15. Dennis was awful reserved
He seemed afraid to talk - like he was expecting something bad to happen. Even when Stewart tossed him the softball "What would America be like under President Kucinich?" he blew the opportunity. I was really surprised after seeing him really cranked in some of the debates.

Bear in mind the man has been campaigning seriously, and at ultra high intensity for a good month plus now. It's not that easy to switch gears from very serious to comedic ease. He's got a great sense of humor and I think that shined, though not as much as I'd have liked. All in all, I think he was amazing.

*edit for typos from hell...one of these days maybe I'll seek treatment for this typists Dyslexia. Huh! Maybe after DK is elected I'll get some compassion, ya think?

19. Yeah, he seemed really reserved.
Seemed like a completely different person than the Kucinich I've seen before..I expected him to say a lot more. Jon was asking a lot of questions and he didn't give him much back in the way of answers.
