Some question for those who follow the freeper follies...
I haven't got the stomach nor the pateince to root around on their cesspool of a site...

Did they demonstrate in Boston?

I recall their "Let's send poor people to fight in Iraq rally" that they held in 2002...which drew about 25 people...and the brave account the idiots put on the website of how they defended their portapotties from use by "leftists."

1. I followed the convention on MSNBC and C-Span
the crowd in the MSNBC coverage had mostly Kerry/Edwards signs with one or two Bush/Cheney sign in between.

Right in front of one of these Bush/Cheney signs, somebody held a Bush doll with a very long nose...looked like the Buchoccio doll:

I think that was very effective: Bush/Cheney = liars

2. So they couldn't even get the usual 25 or so?
I still remember the "Impeach Clinton" rally they threw during the Monicamania disgrace that was covered on C-Span...freeper speakers ACTUALLY OUTNUMBERED the freeper demonstrators...and the counter-demonstrators outnumbered both at least three to one.

3. I saw a couple of young guys with bush/cheney signs in Boston

Everyone was pretty much ignoring them. They did manage to get their signs in the crowd shots watching Hardball. I had been in that crowd earlier in the day, and they weren't out there then; they must have shown up later on. I did see them around on Thurs afternoon as well. When I was there, there was another young guy holding up a sign with a picture of a bloody aborted fetus that he was trying to get on camera, but there were tons of us with Kerry signs at that time and folks were using the Kerry signs to block his sign. The folks from Hardball were even telling us to chase him out of there because they didn't want that picture on TV. Oh yeah, there were also the folks dressed as big flip-flops (who we were also trying to block).

I was around the city throughout the week and that was about all the RW stuff I saw, along with the guys with signs quoting scripture. The irony was that the sign with Jesus name on it in big letters also had drawings of bombs and planes--it was a pro-war sign, implying that Jesus was for the war. I wished the nun that I had been campaigning with had been around at that time. And on Thurs, there were a couple of pro-chimp guys spouting their nonsense.

Most of the protesters that I did see were more from far left groups, anarchists, etc. Unfortunately, on my bus ride home Mon night, the passengers included about 5-6 wingnuts, including the bus driver. I had all my Kerry buttons on, and I couldn't help but laugh while I was "discussing" the war with them, because their comments were so asinine.
