What would a BAD president do?
I have this fantasy where I ask a Bush supporter to imagine there were a BAD president in office (Bush being a GOOD president). What exactly would this BAD president (presumably a Democrat) do that would be so bad?

* Bankrupt the Treasury?
* Pollute the air and water?
* Exacerbate the rich/poor gap?
* Extinguish thousands of lives in an unnecessary war?
* Ignore expert advice?
* Twist intelligence?
* Preside over a net loss of jobs?
* Ruin America's reputation around the world?
* Suppress dissent? Steal elections? Abuse the Constitution?

Sorry, those are all taken. I really don't know what would be left to say. ("Raise taxes", maybe?) Has anyone lived out this fantasy?

2. He raised taxes, too
His tax cut was a bait and switch for all but the top 2% of wealth holders. The rest of us got socked with higher state, local and sales taxes to make up for the shortfall in funds returned from Washington, DC.

I'd say it's a sweep.

4. the problem is
that too many Bush supporters don't actually believe that Bush did any of those things ... they think it's a bunch of lies made up by the "liberal media" ... after all, Bush is a "man of God" so he would never do anything wrong or dishonest
