Poll question: Most Egregious Clinton-Haters
I'm referring to the scum who started and spread the most fantastic lies about the Clintons, the ones who have led us to the constitutional crisis we're in now.

EDITORIAL NOTE: There may be reasons for reasonable people to mistrust the Clintons--their affiliation with the DLC, not to mention Dick Morris, high among them. But reasonable people, left or right, should not have been taken in by the trash produced by the cottage industry of Clinton-hating.

1. to the Scaifeanists;
they couldn't really have done it without them!
(Mainly because the Scaifeanists were connected to almost all of the above)

4. I confess
The group that makes me the angriest are the Leftist Clinton-Haters. But I don't know if they're the most egregious. For the record, I haven't voted in this poll yet.

8. I agree the left-inclined Clinton critics could be annoying
I'm thinking of some of the regulars at the Nation, for example...but they seem to me little more than a nuisance compared to the likes of the demonic Scaife - whose hatred and money fueled the anti-Clinton movement.

10. You're right. Annoying is not egregious.
Although some of the lefties, like Sam Smith, really bought every last piece of shit the wingers were selling. But I don't think they caused the crisis. They were just usefully idiotic to the people who did.

9. I went with...
the 'useless freeping idiots',partly because no one had chosen them yet and they deserve some of the credit,but mostly because all the Clinton bashing in the world wouldn't have made a difference if there wasn't a receptive audience out there willing to buy into the garbage. A few critical thinking skills in the minds of our fellow americans would have put an end to the Clinton saga very quickly.

11. That's a good point.
I thought it was interesting that DUers were discounting the significance of their counterparts on the right.

12. I voted for the RNC operatives
I think they planned to use Clinton-hating to ruin Clinton for a second term. I think it was someone in Bush I's administration who got the whole ball rolling on a national scale. They may have been working with Scaife--and probably were, when you consider how many guys like Ted Olson and Ken Starr fit in both camps.
