New Zogby Poll: Kerry Edwards 48, Bush/Cheney 43 Undecided 8

On CNN, the MTV guy (or someone) said there was a new zogby poll coming out tonight that showed Kerry up 5-6 (and that didn't include today) and he thought Kerry would go up another 3 based on tonight. I posted it here.

1. The speech should kick it up a bit more

But no way it will be a 15 point bounce as the so called "internal" GOP memo says. That has only happened once, in 1992, when the Democrats got some help from Ross Perot's exit from the race.

2. It amazes me how well they get people to believe that.

A self described moderate independent at work was saying the same thing. We were talking about the bounce in the polls and she said Kerry is already talking it down because he knows he won't get the 15 POINT BOUNCE THAT THEY ALWAYS GET.

I asked her for any evidence of ANYONE getting that large of a bounce. She of course just said that she had heard it was normal to get that much.
