Cops against the Drugs War
They were two white guys cruising through the black part of Patterson, N.J., back in the 1970s. One was an undercover police officer named Jack Cole, the other an informant known as Fast Eddy. Posing as heroin buyers, they ran into trouble with three thugs who tried to rip them off and who slashed Fast Eddy's hand with a knife before being chased off.

Luckily, Cole recalls, a Good Samaritan came out into the road. He was a young black man who was going to college to get out of the ghetto. He said he didn't approve of drugs but felt bad about the white guys getting roughed up in the neighborhood. He went into his house to get bandages for Fast Eddy and then, since Cole continued to pretend like he needed a fix, brought them to a supplier who wouldn't take advantage of them.

Back at the precinct, Cole felt he had no choice but to include the Good Samaritan's name in his report. The Good Samaritan was duly charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin, a charge that carried the same penalty as distribution: up to seven years in jail. Cole was at the station when the Good Samaritan was brought in. He looked Cole in the eye and said, "Man, I was trying to be your friend."

2. As A Matter Of Fact...
At this very moment I'm arguing with someone on another message board about legalizing marijuana. His only retort is "Why do you need the drug?" What the hell do you say to that?

4. Why the hell does someone need
to smoke, drink? The whole Marijuana issue is hypocricy. If Cigerattes and alcohol can be legal, why not Marijuana?

9. i need a joint
to smoke because "they" have made a fucking mess of this planet and i have to live in it. "they" have made a mess, and they expect me to fix it.... best i feel good, and since i can't feel good about anything in the society, at least i can "feel good".

Too much of life is based on "social history" rather than real life.... and as long as they want to define me by my birth certificate, where i went to school, and who my parents were, i reserve my right to practice free religion and dance with shiva.

Shiva in hinduism is the god of the illusion of life. Smoke a joint and dance with god. The wind is already there, but truly the smoke clears a path that the wind is that much more loud.

I haven't smoked in a while, yet for what? Am i supposed to forego my preferred vice for television and indocrination in to the bush/blair cult? no thanks. I'd rather smoke a joint and giggle at something stupid.

5. These cops are full of shit..
Edited on Thu Aug-21-03 05:52 PM by Roon
if cops can leave out of the report that he and his partner roughed me up before turning me loose, these cops can leave out the good smaritan's name.

They wanted their catch of the day and they got it.

What a crock!
