UNBELIEVABLE: DUer says "9/11 Moms should move on."
Edited on Thu Aug-21-03 09:20 AM by FlashHarry
At least, that's what spielino, one of our newer DUers thinks, according to his/her posts in this thread.

Personally, I think it's disgusting.

2. Dunno. He's got a Lieberman avatar, though.
Interesting. I would have expected a Sharpton avatar for a wolf-in-sheep's-clothing.

4. Lieberman supporters tend to be more conservative
than your average DUer.

7. Not sure I see the connection
I mean its one thing to have the opinion that a mom who lost a kid on September 11th should get over it. It is pretty reprehensible.

On the other hand it's easy enough for me to imagine a committed Democrat who wants to get President Bush out of office thinking that focusing on the 2000 election (which I assume is what you are referring too) is a losing issue and we should focus more on President Bush's abysmal record while in office.

8. I tend to agree with the 2000 thing.
But I'm pretty sure this person is referring solely to the 9/11 'investigation.'

But "Get over it"

Never. That election thing is now causing people to die.

5. Possibly. Being a Democrat, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt
But this one's heading right over the line, IMHO.

13. Saw that
Ignored it because I thought it was some kind of bait which would end up on a freeper thread somewhere. I suspect we'll be seeing more of him/her.

9. I agree that these women need to pursue this because they are morally
outraged.

What I find interesting is that very few have blamed the airlines. Long ago, when the first hijackings took place, I (and others) said they should secure the cockpit doors. If they did this, no hijacker would be successful. I grant you that some might have killed a whole plane of people but they wouldn't have had the incentive to carry through because their actions would only result in their being captured at the place they didn't want to go to begin with.

The airlines chose not to do this because it wasn't cost effective (in their eyes) and it would interfere with customer relations. Well, customer relations have gone by the board (except on Southwest) and now they have to do it.

I believe that the airlines should have been sued for not taking safety precautions that they should have taken years ago.

It's against the rules to call out another member like this.

18. All those women want is the truth..
..and for the unexplained loss of their loved ones they are told to "move on"....Sorry but that's just not going to cut it...

There are far too many unanswered questions about 9/11 and until there is a open INDEPENDENT investigation the truth will remain hidden. Mea culpa's from faceless agencies will simply not suffice. I want to know why there were no fighter planes scrambled AFTER it was known that passenger planes had been taken. I want to know SPECIFICALLY why Payne Stewarts' plane was intercepted within 16 minutes of being reported to be in trouble by the FAA but NOT ONE of the hi-jacked planes was intercepted even though there was FOUR times the amount of lead time. I want to know how it is possible for wreckage of a plane that crashes straight into the ground to spread debris over a six mile area. I want to know how * was able to see the FIRST plane hit the WTC as per his statements. I want to know why Florida was in a state of emergency BEFORE the planes hit the towers. I want to know why members of the Bin Laden family were secretly flown out of the country BEFORE the FBI could interview them. I want to know why with the country clearly under attack * sat on his arse for another thirty minutes or so "readin" to the kids.

I have plenty of questions, I will not move on so why on earth should family members of the victims MOVE ON???
