Anyone catch this line in the NYT letters section...
On the topic of the UN bombing in Baghdad the other day:

"Weapons of mass destruction? What further proof do you need that they exist than the acts of those willing to flock to Iraq at the behest of their masters as if suicide, mayhem and murder were entertainment at a festival"

Oh brother. That's a new one. Someone uses a rudimentary truckbomb to do this and that's proof of WMD's? I can't wait until the administration actually tries using this one.

2. Magnets
The latest reason the Bushies are giving for the Iraq war is the troops are acting as a magnet for terrorists. This way the terrorists attact the troops and won't attack the US. Is this sick or what?

6. I heard that too.
I told my dh about it. He's a very logical man; said this was the most retarded reason yet for the invasion.

How can I argue with such wisdom?

8. that's almost correct....

3. Dumbass
One of the things that makes WMD so desirable is that you don't have to show up to wreak havoc. This idiot thinks it would take thousands to deliver a nuclear or CB payload?

4. If we leave, we will be abandoning those we asked to
help liberate Iraq, and didn't we complain about that last time? So we can't leave.

That was Colin Quinn's logic of Crowd of Fascist Comedians last night. We've got to stay to protect the collaborationists. Umm, can't we just fly them back here where they came from? These guys want their war so damn badly that they will say or do anything for it.

5. Shows a total lack of understanding of middle east culture.
And also an attitude that Arabs/Suni/Shiites who OPPOSE the invasion and destruction of Iraq view mayhem and murder as entertainment. I see the resistance as deadly serious.
