I wish I had some pics, but I left my digital behind and had to pick up a disposable.
Anyway, before I went, I stopped by Kerry headquarters on Walnut street to volunteer my time and pick up some gear. Everyone I talked to there was super cool and very upbeat.
Then off the the rally, which was held at the Philadelphia Art Museum. The crowd was pretty large, I'd say around 5000. But I could be wrong, because I am terrible at crowd estimation. I don't think everyone got in :( I had the blue tickets so I was able to get up pretty close. I tell you what he looks about 10 years younger in person. He gave his usual stump, but it was good and got the crowd fired up. The woman who introduced Kerry told a great story about herself. She talked about growing up in Puerto Rico and how the first time she saw an American flag was when he brother came home from Vietnam. It was draped over his coffin. She choked up and so did most of the crowd. I wish I could remember her name, because she was great.
When I get my pics, I'll post a few. Assuming they turn out okay. I've never used a disposable camera before.
Oh, I saw a guy in a DU shirt, but he was too far in front of me in line to catch.
