9. Yes, they have their share of nonsense on there........

I wouldn't say so much violated, but I think that is because I can tell the difference. A fair amount of the advertising is hokey. And of course some vendors of the products are hokey, too.

But, if they want to save a little rainforest and feed some chimps, I am glad to view it for the few seconds that it takes to click the links. (They keep a nice running total for the user about how many square feet and how many cups of chimp food have been donated.)

Well, some of the advertisers are quite good, too. Like Aubrey Organics for one. They have had links to organic wineries, and other organic produce vendors, etc.

I shop at the local natural foods co-op, and they have a lot of hokey stuff in there. Maybe it's like the old jazz tune made popular by Les McCann and Eddie Harris: Try to Make It Real COMPARED TO WHAT!

Did you check out the story about the straw bale school house? Now, I think that is useful information. I know people in the Southwest who have built some beautiful straw bale homes. This is quite a good advancement in architecture and aesthetics, not to mention energy efficiency and saving of timber resources.
