Is there a plan for implementing democracy in Iraq?
Seriously, what is the plan and what is the time line?

Now that the WMD story has lost what little teeth it ever had, proponents of the Iraqi invasion are quick to claim that WMD were not the primary reason for the invasion and that removing Hussein and installing democracy more important. Next time someone makes this claim to you, ask them what the plan is and when it will be implemented.

P.S. Gen. Tommy Franks testified before congress today that we could still have troops in Iraq in four years and that there is no reason to believe that the hit and run attacks on American personal will end in the next few months.

"I regret that we are still losing troops and young men and women are being wounded, but they're being wounded by people who don't want to see the Iraqi people free...." - Colin "newspeak" Powell

1. The only plan in Iraq
is the get the oil, and they are doing a very good job of that.

When someone says that Bush wants to bring democracy to Iraq, how do you stop yourself from laughing?

2. Democracy in Iraq? Who told you that?? Oh, yeah, those no cons.....
....well, I will let you in on a little secret. Number one, democracy starts at home. If neo cons haven't got the foggiest idea of how to maintain democracy here in the US they sure won't be able to impliment it there in Iraq. Two, the neo cons can't very well impliment democracy in Iraq with all that there oil to makle a few billion $$ off of. So, don't hold your breath, it isn't coming anytime before 2005.

If we get a Dem in the WH and Dems take back the Congress then and only then do the Iraqi people have a real chance.

5. Why should they institute democracy in Iraq
when they don't believe in it in America?
