DUer's -- tell Rick Lyman to get it straight
Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 08:08 PM by tawnnhan
Rick Lyman wrote in today's NYT:

Mr. Edwards, the presumptive vice-presidential nominee, repeatedly mentioned the close 2000 contest in Florida, and the controversial recount that resulted in a narrow victory for George W. Bush.

Everyone here knows that's a lie. Bush won in court when the Supremes stopped the recount efforts. This kind of sloppy journalism contributes to the collective memory loss of Americans.

I've already written to ask for a correction.

Please send your two cents to: public@nytimes.com and nytnews@nytimes.com

Thanks all!
