Wow, Jamie Rubin on CNN
Edited on Tue Aug-19-03 11:51 AM by Cush
From the Clinton Admin:

To say Al Qaeda is aiding Saddam loyalists to restore a 'torturous' regimes is far fetched. Iraq was the one country that they could not get access to because it was not a fundamentalist regime. They are there now because of the chaos.

Also a CNN reporter in TX said that Bush heard about the events from COndi, then decided to return to the ranch after playing 12 Holes (after another update)

His wife is CNN ME correspondent Christina Amanpour. An accomplished couple!

He sounded disgusted with the WH remarks.

5. Rubin was behind the resolution
and wanted Saddam ousted, just like Clinton, but, they wanted it done right with all our allies working together and fully funding the Iraqi infrastructure so we would not be seen as occupiers. Bush has done EVERYTHING wrong. Nothing like any Dem administration.

3. Rubin used past tense talking about The U.N. rep Sergio Vieria de Mello..
And Blitzer didn't even pick up on it to ask him why he was using the past tense--typical cable news calibre in the U.S.--don't even listen to answers.

Sergio Vieria de Mello was said to be trapped in the building earlier on CNN.

6. Yes, I caught that too. I think deMello didn't make it unfortunately....
no news except that he was trapped and someone reported they were trying to get water to him. But, Rubin talked about him in the past tense...... Maybe he knows from his sources....Blitzer, too.....they just don't want to say anthing right now.

7. Does anyone know...
...the whereabouts of Chalabi's Free Iraqi Forces or whatever they are called? Taped statements from the Chimp in "Charge"? Blackouts, attacks, interrupted games of golf... All so damned surreal, ain't it?
