Pukes making last minute changes to the anti gay marriage amendment
How can someone think about changing the constitution like this?

http://www.gadsdentimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20040712/APW/407121005

..Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said there was "great interest" among Republicans for a simpler approach that would add only one line to the U.S. Constitution: "Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman."...

...Cheryl Jacques, president of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay political organization, said the last-minute effort to get votes on two different versions reflected a lack of care in drafting the amendment.

"I think it is outrageous and frankly surreal that at the 11th hour in this debate, they are literally rewriting the Constitution on the back of a napkin," she said...

1. yeesh
This is rather repulsive (well, the whole business is, really)

But, this shorter version would leave the door open to Civil Unions.

The original version is worded such that even those (or even legal contracts of other sorts between two adults of the same sex) could be banned.

I'm against this version, too.

2. "How about if we're only a LITTLE bigoted...pleeeeeeease?"
What a pathetic disgrace. Let it get shot down in the Senate today and let's hear no more from this hate filled riff-raff.

4. I want the bastards supporting this to pay.
I don't merely want to see FMA defeated for this year...I want to see a stake driven through it. I want FMA killed permanently.

I want to see the motherfuckers supporting this pay politically.

Starting with:

George W. Bush

Dick Cheney

Representative Marilyn Musgrave (chief sponsor of FMA in the House)

Senator Wayne Allard R-CO (chief sponsor of FNA in the Senate)

Senator John Cornyn R-TX (another FMA sponsor and chairman of the Senate committee that held hearings on FMA)

Senator Rick Santorum R-PA (another FNA sponsor and heir apparent to gay bashing homophobe Jesse Helms)

I want these bastards to pay for this shameful gay bashing.
