When does the Warren Commision Report get released?
I seem to remember it being put off for like another quarter century or something. Definitely, not until everybody involved is dead. Anobody know the exact date?

2. Ummm, wasn't the Warren Commission report
released in 1964?

Whether or not you agree with its conclusions is something else.

And it may be that autopsy photos and a few specific things like that are being with held from public access for some additional years, but the Warren Commission report is out there.

4. Just one more thing
Oliver Stone got quite wrong.

I recall quite clearly when the (I think it was 20 volume) Warren Commission Report came out.

There are some things that won't be released until 2039, but the bulk of the report itself came out, hmmmm, forty years ago now. Wow, how time flies!

5. Stone did NOT get it wrong. He got nearly everything in that flick right.
That movie, JFK, was extremely accurate. I researched the subject for 3 solid years, and his stuff was right on the mark.

As far as the release date for information, here's the deal.

The original summary (whitewash) report and 26 huge volumes of appendices were printed in 1964. But the report was just blarney, and it was not even supported by the 26 volumes of exhibits that went with it. Most people who have studied the appendices can't fathom how the commission ever reached the conclusions it did.

Further, they only printed something like 1,000 copies of the 26 volumes of appendices. That wasn't even enough for libraries. So people didn't really get a chance to read the appendices--which is where much of the first order material was--until very recently, compliments of the internet and CD-roms.

Still further, literally millions of pages of documents and testimony and evidence--in addition to the summary report and the 26 volumes of appendices--were ordered sealed for 75 years by LBJ -- e.g. until 2039. One result of Stone's great movie was that a commission was created and a great many of those documents have been released. But there are still many which are sealed.

6. Except now we KNOW who was behind it...The "Cubans"
And who was instrumental in leading Bay of Pigs with the ships "Barbara" "Houston" and "Zapata"?

Why, Emperor Poppy Augustus I, of course!

7. I think Poppy was way down the pecking order.
I'd go for Dulles, Cabell, LBJ's Texas support team, some Dallas officials, and a couple of members of the JCS.

12. George Herbert Walker Bush Ratted PARROTT to the FBI.

At the very least, Poppy was "in the loop" on anti-JFK talk in Texas. Note the first memo, from the day of the assassination of President Kennedy:

In this memo, a "Mr. George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency" vouches for the anti-Castro Cuban community in Miami, who "regret" the assassination of President Kennedy.

These memos are old hat to Merlin, but to newer DUers and visitors it something the WARREN COMMISSION LEFT OUT. They dared not term the JFK Assassination what it was -- TREASON.

15. Also odd: Poppy's name was in the book of Oswald's CIA handler

Octafish will remember this little gem of a story, too:

George de Mohrenschildt, whose history is absolutely the strangest thing in a whole litany of strange stories, carried a little black book. It was found on him the day he "killed himself," just before an interviewer showed up at his house the day before he was due to testify to the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) in about 1978.

De Mohrenschildt was an Eastern European immigrant, who claimed to have been royalty before the USSR took over his country. He was an "oil man," meaning he worked for the CIA and used the oil bidnez as cover.

He was national president of some major charity (don't remember which). Get this: JACKIE KENNEDY was honorary chairperson! She and de Mohrenschildt knew each other from high society in Newport!

De Mohrenschildt befriended Oswald in the months before the hit on JFK. He introduced Oswald and his wife into the "White Russian" (anti-communist) community in Dallas.

A week before the hit, de Mohrenschildt left the country to "do an oil survey" in Haiti for the infamous butcher, Papa Doc Duvalier.

Back to the black book. In it was Poppy bush's name and phone number in Houston.

For one of the strangest reads ever, catch de Mohrenschildt's "autobiography" penned just before his "suicide" and reprinted in full in one of the volumes of the HSCA report.

10. Want my copy?
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 08:07 PM by Fescue4u
I bought it for $1.00 at a flea market a couple years ago.

Seriously.

The Warren commision report was made public decades ago.

I sorta know what you are talking about though. There are still many many files that are sealed from the JFK investigation.

(on edit: after the reading the rest of the posts, what I have must just be the summary at its clearly not 26 volumes(!!). I think my copy is several hundred pages or so. Now you've got my interested, I'll have to go find it )
