john stewart's quote about senate Dems on tonights show...
"democrats- always ready to stand up for what they later realize to be a mistake".

he pretty much branded our current daschle-wussies pretty well, i think. another quote, this one from howard dean, springs to mind--

"if it werent for democrats like john kerry, the fact is that we wouldnt be in iraq in the first place".

1. I have to agree on that .
But hey, even I will admit I was some what fooled by them all.

My favorite part was when Stewart just totally dissected Blitzer, making fun of his beard and his bogus news show, then throwing in that line with "the mushroom cloud material Pakistan was selling to everyone in the region...Except Iraq," was priceless.

Blitzer looked scared, fooled and totally exposed. It was great.

Interesting he can say that on TV, but we can't say it here.

9. Well, it's a lie
And a stupid statement to boot. But that wasn't about to stop Dean during the primary.

24. it is not a lie
If it weren't for people like Kerry who voted for the IWR we wouldn't be in Iraq.
Despite that Dean is doing as much as possible to elect Kerry because he thinks Kerry is better than bush.

25. I think he avoids talking about that subject
I think he does support that statement. So he talks about what he and Kerry do agree on.

and then Reagan got his second term.

Kerry will at least listen to progressives. Bush never will.

Yes, he really said "intelligenT" in that quote because I replayed it several times on TiVo just to be sure.

What an idiot.

6. Actaully, the exact quote was:
"Democrats. Always standing up... for what they later realized... they should have believed in". I just sampled it for a audio thing I'm working on.

20. The Dems were lazy and spineless.
The much ballyhooed information in the "CIA report" was made available to Congress before the war. Bush depended on Dem congressmen being too lazy to read it. He was right. He also relied on their being too spineless to oppose him. Right again. I can't stand these Dems claiming "we didn't know". They could have known. They should have known.

Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 03:48 PM by DaveSZ
If you read all his positions they are way more liberal than Kerry's, and Kerry is the second most liberal.
