Im very impressed. He seems not only intelligent but also honest. Did you notice the eye contact? He never wavered. I didnt get to see the whole interview, but what I did see convinced me that this man is going to change things for the better.

1. this is the Kerry that the media often doesn't show
and i also think he is feeling good about his vp pick and to have someone to campaign with now.

2. In fairness, this is the Kerry that Kerry doesn't often show either
It was a wonderful performance, and will probably make Bush want to avoid having a debate in the Larry King format like last time. Kerry's great just sitting around talking; less good when speaking because his speaking skills were honed in the Senate where they've got nothin' but time.

12. I think you are right...
for some reason since he has picked Edwards he seems a lot more confident and smooth on his feet. His retort yesterday was one of the better and more smooth things I've heard him say. I guess this is what they mean by the VP bounce, but I am feeling a lot more confident myself. He definitely made the right choice and I think he knows it.

9. WOW is right!
I'm so used to politicians giving 'safe' answers that end up being neither a yes nor a no. Kerry was right out there with it, actually answering the questions. And without having to roll it around in his head like he had to be careful of his words lest they be used against him. He was sincere, honest, to the point, and lightening quick with his responses. An excellent interview, and I think we'll see a little bump in the polls because of it. (At least I hope so!)

Wow for Teresa, too! She is so down to earth, so grounded, so human. Loved her answer re: why she left the Republican party. It was over the way they treated Max Cleland, how he had lost limbs in the Viet Nam war and they called him unpatriotic. She said that was just wrong.

Something to look forward to: Larry will also be interviewing Edwards, but I don't think the date has been firmed up yet because it wasn't mentioned. I hope his wife is on with him.

I'm going to have to get some more popcorn, I finished it off tonight!

13.  Saw the whole interview...
and Kerry was good, as was Teresa Kerry. I believe Kerry is honest and sincere and speaks from his heart.

The more I learn about Kerry, the more impressed I am with him.

14. I have to admit that Kerry didnt really do anything for me....
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 11:13 PM by TryingToWarnYou
until I saw him tonight. I feel almost rejuvenated that someone could actually end up in the WH that speaks, acts, thinks and behaves like someone with a purpose. I was very impressed. He did not come across as a bullshitter or 'politician' in the normal sense. I hope mainstream America sees him the same way. God, when you compare Bush and Kerry, its like night and day! A very dark night and a bright, coming day.
