1. give me an f-ing break!
What the little kids are going to be scarred for life by seeing an itty bitty marble wee-wee? God forbid I would have been arrested as a child I liked to show it off so much. Well playing doctor is a felony now isn't it?

My favorite pasttime. ;-)

These days I prefer my men to dress in Jedi robes and spank me with a plastic lightsaber.

Oh my... what has the planet come to?

2. It's a shame that a statue of David has to be covered.
Knowledge of art seems to be lacking in the neighborhood.

However, this sentence gives me hope:

"My preliminary thought is that it does not violate any statute," Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Stan Levco said. "But I haven't made a final determination."

7. Who's afraid...
of the mighty phallus?

It's time to erect a few maypoles in the neighbourhood.

9. Ok, so I'm assuming
I'm assuming that everyone who complained about this statue showers in their underware.

Right? Right?

Naughty bits are naughty bits... when you look at them, it makes the saints cry...

Fuckin' busybodies...

10. Maybe
They should censor those photos of Bush in his flightsuit.

Talk about scarring children for life. That is the kind of stuff that could really screw someone up.

18. No, no, no!
We make dolls of the Great Leader in his flight suit so that kids can sleep with it. Silly liberal.

12. A bunch of kids discovered a replica of a world famous art masterpiece
and their parents are pissed because they should have been home playing violent video games or watching mindless tv shows instead.

13. It's filth!
"It's filth! It graphically portrays parts of the human body, which, practical as they may be, are evil!" - Helen Lovejoy on The Simpsons

My God, how low have we sunk now?

15. What am I missing here?
The statue was covered by the owner, after a conversation with his neighbors. Who is hurt by this?

I can see if his property is vandalized by people who object to it, but self censorship, for what ever reason, is still his choice, isn't it?

Every couple years, somebody spray paints the naughty bits yellow.

21. Amazing, people in the 1500s were more progressive than today's folk...
Here come the Creepy Christians prancing their paranoid prehistoric paranoias and ruining everything that doesn't agree with their creepy conception of life. :-( (Ok, some Christians are good, I'm just making a glib generalization...)

Can't people just leave David's doodle alone?! It's a nice doodle, and it hasn't done anything to anybody... unlike the doodles of every man who supports censorship of centuries-old art and pass their bigotry to their offspring...

Now if this guy had arranged David's delicious doodle to be doing something suspicious with the Mermaid's mammoth maracas, then it might be a genuine issue to some. If I saw such an arrangement however, I'd probably giggle if not roll on the floor laughing my arse off.
