Crossfire: Tucker says Ken Lay and Bill Clinton are buddies.
Begala brought up how Lay had his corporate jet available for bu$h/cheney in 2000, when Tucker brays about how he has pictures of Lay playing golf with the Big Dog.
Tucker and his ilk have been reduced to blaming Clinton for all of bu$h's shortcomings and scandals.

This is exactly the same level of evidence as the Osama/Saddam
connection. Just because their were "contacts" between Al Qaeda and Iraq, the Wingers assume a cooperative relationship.

Clinton and the felon played a golf game together once. Result? They were friends.

On that basis, Richard Nixon was a bosom buddy of the Chinese, and Reagan and the Sovient "Evil Empire" Union had a cooperative relationship.

7. freepers toeing same line...
in a sense hilarious, and in a sense, very sad. they are bantering back and forth about kenny boy being Clinton's liability, and seemingly glad he's getting nailed so the liberals will be embarassed. are they really that blind?

i like to look over there every so often just to see what they are talking about, in hopes of some stimulating and challenging opposition, but, it just ain't there...

9. And Lay served on WHOSE transition team?
That would be Bush!

"As Bush assumed the presidency, Enron had unusual access to the new administration's deliberations about energy policy and appointments to important posts. Lay served on the Bush transition team and helped interview candidates for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which oversees the gas pipelines and electricity grids that are key to Enron's business. Earlier this year, the commission's chairman, Curtis Hebert, who was being considered for reappointment by the White House, declared himself "offended" by Lay's lobbying efforts. Hebert later quit the panel."

According to ABC news...

10. Pathetic...
Lay and the Big Dog played golf exactly ONCE...in a charity tournament in which Lay partnered with Gerald Ford and Clinton partnered with Arnold Palmer.

11. LOL: It was a "DEM-REPUB" golf tournament, and Lay was on the GOP side
Tucker is a lying sack of shit. the golf tournament at which Lay and Clinton played was billed as a bipartisan retreat type activity, a little friendly rivalry between GOPs and DEMs. Lay was representin' the GOP side, of course. Clinton bvarely knew the man at all. But BUSH CAMPAIGNED ON THE FUCKING ENRON JET! Carlson is a fucking ridiculous liar.
