10. Huh?
Do you have a more clear recollection of the Senate seat thing? 'Cause, if I understand you correctly, that isn't true. The seat in question is currently a Dem (Edwards) seat... best case is that NC would keep it.

18. That's right. It is a (D) seat now and likely to stay a (D) seat!
Last poll I saw had Erskine Bowles (D) with a 10 point lead over the (R) candidate, and now with Edwards on the Prez ticket I think Bowles will definitely win!

Seat will stay (D) and Bowles will be a great Senator.

Incidentally, Erskine was Bill Clinton's former Chief of Staff.

29. Gotta admit, I'm feeling much better about Erskine's chances now
Looks like the State R's will have their hands full at the P level now, instead of being able to focus on Edwards' seat. (Personally, I never expected 'em to expend too much energy against Easley, to begin with). Had some concerns about Bowles' Clinton connections in '02 and had hoped Marshall would get the nom- believe still that she could have taken Queen Liddy. Maybe she or Blue will try again in '08.

But overall, to combine Edwards' Veep run with the fact that Burr is a slug... well, feelin' pretty good in Randolph County tonight!

question was out of context...F911 never said bush was aiding the Saudi's in terrorism

Then got Dean to admit he didn't believe it either.

19. typical straw man tactic. Dems rarely see it coming.
And I consider Dean one of the more astute ones in catching on to their games.

"Chris, I didn't see the movie so I can't comment on that characterization you just made." That was the correct answer, Governor.

Oh well. Otherwise, he was spot on. Cool guy. Hope he's around for a long time.

20. He misquoted it using the word terrorist.
I have not seen it, so he could have fooled me as well. Hubby says the movie did not say that Bush was tied to the "terrorists," just the Bin Ladens.

24. THis is fabulous news from Michael's blog..
snips~
"Speaking of Sunday shows, did anyone see that hilarious CNN Unreliable Sources show this morning? It's hosted by this knucklehead from the Washington Post who's been raggin' on me since "Roger & Me." I wasn't half awake while it was on but I think he had some blow-hards on who said, in no particular order of priority, that I was in cahoots with the Taliban, supported Al Qaeda, and dreamed of a day gone by when Uncle Saddam brought peace and joy to the world. This thing was so whacked, and they were trying so hard to repeat Karl Rove's talking points, I thought, "Damn -- the box office from last night must have busted through the roof if these guys are that pissed!" So I immediately called up the studio and, sure enough, in just our second weekend, "F9/11" had shot past $50 million! Whoa! More than double what it was last Sunday! No wonder foam is coming out of these guys' mouths!"

Moore..
http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/diary/

And an update..
"Stopped in at the theater showing it across the street from Ground Zero. Chatted with people on the way out and answered some questions. Then the Spiderman crowd came out. A few of them weren't happy to see me. Some guy said, "I hope they don't put a bomb in your theater." Such a pleasant remark considering the neighborhood we were in.

We broke the $60 million mark tonight at the box office. I really can't fathom this. More theaters are being added next week.

Yes, it's true, I'm on the cover of Time magazine this week. And Entertainment Weekly. Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue is next!!"

11. What was up with the stuff at the end?
Matthews claimed the F911 was full of lies and linked the president with terrorists. Dean hasn't seen the movie and doubted the president has such connections.

16. I think it was the way Tweety phrased it, confused Dean.
It confused me. I have not seen it either. I think it was the phrasing. Dean has often pointed out the Bin Laden connection, so he knows. Tweety should not have used the word terrorists like that. That was a sneaky Tweety thing.

He said he really thought Dean ran a good campaign..Earth to Chris.....why did you insult him so all the time if you thought so?

22. Matthews is a total idiot! He blatantly misrepresented what F911
says about bush and the bin Ladens. Matthews said the movie says bush is involved in terrorism. It does not say that! Matthews does not dispute anything that's actually in the movie, yet makes it sound like Moore is a wacko. Everything about Harkin, Arbusto, James Bath, and the bin Ladens are a matter of public record, but Tweety must think this all comes from Moore's imagination. You would think with all the publicity Moore has generated about the fact-checking he's done, Tweety would think twice before he opens his ignorant yap. Dean hasn't seen the movie, so he couldn't dispute what Tweety said.

I stopped watching all television news a few months ago. When I heard Dean would be on, I decided I would watch. Thanks, Tweety, for reminding me what a total waste of time it is to watch cable news.

My boss however, is a BUSH butt boy.
He's still bleeding from the last time he ran his BUSH war president bullshit at me.
I READ DU.
He don't.
I got the edge.

Every radio show.
Every cable news show.
Every major network news show.
20/20 - 60 minutes - Prime time - Larry King - Scarborough - O'Lielly - Hannity (scumbag) et al...

The ugliness these bastards are going to release on us will be their downfall.

No one can be that bad.
No matter how pretty they are.

The McCain thing is hurting them already.

26. Fat Ass Tweety asked Dean....
Edited on Tue Jul-06-04 09:10 PM by dennis4868
when did Bush lie about WMD and the threat from Iraq? As if that was suppose to be a tough questions...haha....I don't think Dean was great in answering the questions but better than most other spienless dems that put their ugly faces on TV.

Okay Tweety....Bush said that Saddam has Unmanned Aerial Vehicles that could reach the USA....no NIE ever said such a thing.

Bush and Captain Fuck Off said that Iraq is reconstituting their nuclear weapons programs and no NIE said that and most intelligence agencies disagreed with Bush abd captain Fuck Off.

Bush said Saddam would give WMD to terrorist to attck the USA....even the NIE said this was not true.

I could go on and on....really said that no one in the media can substantively explain the lies of Bush and Captain Fuck Off...Not even the Dems! :-(

30. interesting, isn't it....
Tweety demands that Dean detail what Bush lied about with regard to the Iraq war (which Dean ably handled, by the way).
Then he tosses out these ad hominem attacks about Michael Moore being such a liar, but has nothing to substantiate these claims.
So let's review: If a private citizen expresses a point of view, he has to justify it with details, facts, footnotes, documents, etc.
If a president leads us off to war and costs the lives of close to 900 soldiers, he gets a pass.
Tweety is such a schizophrenic whore. I can't stand that this type of individual dictates our public discourse.

31. Agree....
it makes me sick...but I do not think Dean or any other dems answers the questions thoroughly when asked about Bush lies....Joseph Cirincione of the Carnegie Endownment for international peace was on the cable tv shows a few times and ran down all the lies ina very substantive way and guess what? He has not been invited back since...
