1. The gas stations are closed out in the western suburbs of Phoenix,
where my dad lives. (I consider CT my home, hence the avatar, but I live in AZ right now).

He told me to fill up in the eastern end (Scottsdale), where my mom lives, if I needed gas. Thankfully, I didn't, and I have about 3/8 of a tank left.

But I saw many gas stations roped off on my way here.

2. Key item to note......
"The weekend outages were much worse than expected, leading Gov. Janet Napolitano to cut short her trip to the National Governors Association Conference in Indianapolis and return to the Valley today to address the issue." DEM Governor rushes home to deal with crisis! 50 million people without power and what does Shrubbie do? Attends an "extortionist on parade" rally while getting hissy with reporters!

3. Understandable that a pipeline ruptures
but odd that there seemed to have been no notification to the public of pending shortages when there could have been.

Any other DU'ers in Az or knowledgeable about this?

4. There was notification
We were notified last week. Not a whole lot of information quick, but they were talking about the pipeline rupture and what would be necessary to fix it.
