Is this the storm before the calm ?

Or are we waiting for the big explosion? There are so many "big stories" out there, are we all just picking on each other, waiting for the other shoe to drop? The "blackout" story seemed to suck all the oxygen out of the air. Nothing seems as significant now as before... although it really is.

But the "blackout" created anticipation and a reality amongst the people that something "big" can indeed happen. We know it can happen. Before, we thought it might be possible something big could happen. Now we are anticipating something to happen. There's just too much air in the balloon.

It's like in the movie, Das Boot. We are all hunkered down in the submarine - way below the surface - just waiting for the enemy to start dropping the satchel charges. We can only brace ourselves and hope for the best. The enemy is out there. They are not in the sub. But it gets tense and stressful in tight quarters. :)

that's probably the reason for all the infighting and flaming. It has to be liberated somehow (and against someone).
