2. The end of his little speech

was so abrupt that it even surprised him. He just kind of rushed
through it and stopped. Very obviously simply reading prepared text,
and not very good at it. Wow.

10. It's obvious
bu$hie is anxious to get the hell out of Ireland....

His "performance" today is painful to watch. He is plainly nervous, repeating his lame joke (about leaving today), and more arrogant than ever.

Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 08:41 AM by Cheswick
Did he think his scripted media appearances here had prepared him for the real thing? What a freaking embarrasment.

"I care about our image. It bothers me that our character is misunderstood because of the actions of some folks overseas."

DOES HE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING?????

At least twice he said "Tomorrow I'm going to Turkey" then corrected himself to say it was today.

What an unbelievable embarrassment! God help us indeed!

Edited for typo.

23. What I love is when he sez
that we are having a transparent investigation of the abuses...and then launches into the history of the prison under Saddam with 'rape rooms' - he partcicularly likes the alliteration- he says it all the time, and as though that were some excuse for our behavior.

also when he smirks as he refers to something horrible. If my Dad did that, I'd need significant therapy...

25. Bush: "Let the chips fall where they may." (with mini-transcript)
Is this seriously the way the asshole plans on governing?

Oh, wait... yes, it is, and we already knew that.

Here's my transcript of the quote from the press conference (thanks, Tivo!) CNN cut away (wimps!) and then went back in the middle of his answer, so I don't know what the question was, something about polls. Has Chimpy ever sounded more detached from reality??

Bush: "The only polls I worry about are the ones that take place in early November this year. (Bush snorted and smirked after saying this) Uh, I, uh, I uh, listen, I care about the image of our country. We've got a country that we just get.. got... 2 trilion, 2 and a half trillion dollars worth of trade with the EU! Obviously something positive's happening. I don't like it when the values of our country are misunderstood because of the actions of some people overseas. (What in hell is he referring to here... Abu Ghraib?) As far as my own personal standing goes, my job is to do my job, you know? I'm going to do it the way I think is necessary. I'm going to set a steady vision, I'm going to lead, and we'll just let the chips fall where they may."

27. Bush should be confined
in a rubber room somewhere before he completely destroys every last shred of respect that 2 or 3 dozen people around the world might have left for our nation.

He`s a joke, an embarrassment, a disgrace. Loved his last line as he was scrambling to avoid any more questions....`I gudda go ta Turkey.`

I can honestly say that I can`t even bear the sight of this idiot.
