So the Nazi president is calling Liberals Nazis. Fuck these Nazis
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 03:50 PM by mopaul

just saw the ad from bushco comparing liberals to nazis. gephardt, kerry, michael moore, al gore were called nazis in the ad, and called wild eyed and full of pessimism and rage. intermingled with images of hilter himself. even bush appears to be giving the nazi salute right after an image of hitler.

imagine if kerry had used a similar ad against the republicans, they'd be taking us to court already. this is the mentality we are dealing with. the nazis are now calling US nazis. the very man whose grandfather prescott bush collaborated with hilter and helped finance him and shared his love of eugenics. prescott bush who made millions from the agonies of slave laborers, and passed this blood profit on down to his own son and grandson who now threaten the world with nazism.

what the fuck world are we in now? insane fucking world?
calling liberals nazis in a t.v. commercial for the bush campaign is fucking INSANE. i suppose we'll just roll over and take it, even though they'd come unglued with hyper-righteous indignation if we called them nazis, which they are.

are we gonna let them get away with that?

fuck these nazis. and fuck all the trolls and freepers who now infest this place after the king of the nazis big roman funeral last week.

now that they've officially labeled liberals as nazis on television, they've set a new precedent for scumminess and desperation and hatred. they've lowered their OWN bar with this shot across the liberal bow. fuck these nazis.

Although even if it wasn't it would be nice to know his opinion on the ad ("What do you think of that Moronic Conservative Ad which compared Liberals to Hitler?") Put him in a tight spot.

So my comments were mistaken. I think the point is that we compare Bush to Hitler (this showing our rage) but I also think that ther's a concious urge to blur the lines between Liberals and Hitler.

14. Yes, what ad is this
If true, it in entirely unsurprising that it received NO discussion in direct Orwellian Contrast to the treatment of the MoveOn Bush = Hitler ads.

And yes, Nazis, Commies, Busheviks ALL accuse their VICTIMS of doing what they do.

It's called projection...let me demonstrate:

The scene: dacahu 1943

A German Freeper, an SS Guard, is kicking a Jew on the ground

"Filthy (kick) fucking (kick) Liberal (kick, kick!) Jew (kick kick kick!) Stop (kick) oppressing (kick kick) ME! (kick kick kick kick!)"

In a nutshell, THAT is the monsters we face.

Of course they accuse us of being what they are. Same as the Nazis did.

"No, I won't give up my guns. I had to kill too many fascists to get them."
--attributed to an anonymous member of the Yugoslav Resistance, 1945

The Nazis are coming, people, metastasizing like a cancer. Not sure anything can stop. How much longer will they remain "kinder and gentler"

22. Umm.. they're just using the Moveon.org ad that was pulled..
The one that showed the nazi comparison. Even I didn't get the feeling that they were trying to compare the Dems to Hitler. Rather they were using that ad (which was denounced by many Democrats), to show how angry and ugly we supposedly are.

This thread kind of misses the point. They were skewering the Dems for the Nazi ad attacking Bush, when in fact it was NOT a sanctioned ad, it was a competition ad, that was removed from consideration.

I frankly think it's pretty ballsy for those GOP nuts to show our leaders looking so great and powerful.. and Bush and his hideous background music as a comparison. I expected some animated bluebirds to come flying out of his ass!

But the ad never really lets you know that. Rather it just lets the clips intersperse with Gore, Dean, Kerry, etc.

This is a classic republican "DEMOCRATS ARE NAZIS!!!!" move that, when called on, allows them to say "WE NEVER SAID THEY WERE NAZIS SO STOP SAYING THAT!"

It's the classic conservative tactic: Imply like there's no tomorrow and claim victimihood when people figure out the message.

31. It's the MoveOn ad...
You see a quick blip of the MoveOn logo. Obviously, it's meant to compare Democrats to Hitler, then when we get riled up, the GOP will make hay over the fact that it's a MoveOn ad.

Not that I'm afraid of comparing Bush to meglomaniac dictators. It's pretty clear at this point that he had intended to overthrow seven countries (had Iraq greeted us with flowers), had granted himself the right to torture, and has done everything within his power to dismantle the checks and balances that hold our government accountable.

Liberals spew hate? If you want to play that game, there are plenty of right wingers calling for wiping Muslims off the face of the Earth, and calling the hooking of alligator clips to people's testicles "having a good time". What an ad we could make, if we were as vile as they were!

Clearly, the only reason they haven't become, if not Hitler, then one of the lesser dictators, is the fact that our ingenius system of government has been designed to hamper the damage people like Bush can do. I don't know if they'll still be there if Bush gets a second term, though.

As Margaret Cho said, he's not Hitler... well, maybe if he applied himself.

did not have the Move On logo in it. The frames with the logo were added by the media later on.

This ad is appalling. However, I think it's going to hurt Bu$h a lot more than it's going to hurt anyone else.

Just when you think life can't get any more bizarre, Bu$hCo manages to up it a notch.

BTW: What was with the 2nd portion of the Hitler pics? The ones with the religious quotes from W embedded in the frames? Was that from the Move On ad or was this segment of their own design?

are. What they did was intersperse Hitler speaking with CLOSEUPS of various Democrats speaking. However, they used the Moveon ad as a way of giving them political coverage in case they had their hand called on it.

I believe these folks are that desperate. In doing this, Bush and his family need to be exposed. Kerry needs to issue a statement showing how outrageous the ad is.

Damn.

Either way......hey, it's fair, folks. Moveon.org used it first. pieces. It even flashes "Moveon.org" after the first Hitler stream. All's fair. They're turning the tables. We'd do the same.

But the Moveon.org ad was much more effective, since it's closer to the truth. The Democrats are not in power, they have not pushed for the things that the Nazis pushed for...the connection just isn't there for their ad to be effective.

47. I am beginning to understand the propaganda coming from the
fascist Bush regime.

When the enemy (that is the opposition party or even one's own -people) begins to catch on and accuse one of being a fascist, the attack and propaganda of choice is to accuse them of the same thing.

This does not work however, because we the little people, who are quite aware of the fascism of Bush, cannot ever be accused of being fascists.

This latest attempt to attack his own people, is an indication of the insanity of George the little boy with the little prick, Bush to destroy the people in his own country.

50. The Nazi clips are from the ad submitted to Moveon.org
That's how they can justify its presence in the ad. They've merely interspersed the "rage" from the ad with the "rage" of our candidates.

If you object to the use of Nazi images, you are essentially objecting to the ad submitted to Moveon.org--an ad, by the way, that was concretely and ABSOLUTELY rejected at the time.

They get a two-fer on this one: they get to implicate the dems. with Nazis by using a Nazi ad submitted to a dem.-supporting organization. And they get to denounce the use of such ads. It's quite crafty. They're waiting for objections and for the controversy to break. They can't wait to explain themselves on this one (trust me, trust me).

But now Moveon needs to locate the original makers of that ad and see if it wasn't a plant all along. I wouldn't be surprised.

And, in the meantime, they get to compare the dems. with the Nazis.

55. Karl Rove was the first person to compare Bush to Hitler.
Of course it was in an admiring and worshipful way.

Drudge excerpting from Woodward's book "Bush At War:

ROVE THOUGHT POST-9/11 WORLD SERIES GAME LIKE NAZI RALLY

"The president emerged wearing a New York Fire Department windbreaker. He raised his arm and gave a thumbs-up to the crowd on the third base side of the field. Probably 15,000 fans threw their arms in the air imitating the motion.

He then threw a strike from the rubber, and the stadium erupted. Watching from owner George Steinbrenner’s box, Karl Rove thought, It’s like being at a Nazi rally." (p. 277)

http://www.drudgereport.com/wood.htm (emphasis added).

It seems to iritate Reich wingers whenever I point this out.

What were Al Gore's, Howard Dean's, Michael Moore's, Gephardt's, and Kerry's grandfathers doing in the 1930's?
