Media Matters unspins Drudge.
David Brock's Media Matters for America (I love that site) unspins Drudge's lies on Clinton's book sales yesterday. As with most of his fly-by-night products of 'journalism', it's now mysteriously disappeared from his site.

2. The right wing talkers sure got the same talking point
didn't they???

I don't know whether to laugh or to throw up. They are
truly pathetic.

4. Glenn Beck
I heard the same thing on the Glen Beck show this morning while trying to find something on AM radio that was not entirely right wing partisan propoganda (no luck had to switch to NPR). You could take any of the hacks mentioned and just change out the person, the messages where identical. Is this indicative of a conspiracy or just how lazy the right wing media is? They all get there info from the same few pathetic sources and echo it ad nauseum to the drooling masses who then repeat it as fact to everyone who will listen to them. Then after the message is relayed (just like Drudge's website stories) it disappears never to be mentioned again (unless it is by some other party to prove how wrong it was).

I am so thankful for DU. It is a place where I can go and be reminded that all of the people in this country are not brainwashed by the Karl Roves and Rush Limbaughs of the world.

On the repititious wing-nuts: It must be really easy to
be one -- they get their argument from the fax machine.
No thought, no argument required -- just repeat the talking
point.

Talk about getting money for nothing.

6. Hey they mentioned my home town! It's selling well!
Clinton memoirs selling like hot cakes
By Meghan Vital - The Port Arthur News staff writer

When local residents headed to Waldenbooks in Central Mall to pick up the newest book the store had to offer - they were greeted by the book's author, Bill Clinton.

"I had on a Bill Clinton mask and stood behind customers looking at the books," Waldenbooks Bookseller Brett Kahla said. "I asked them if they wanted an autograph."

Customers came out of the woodwork today, Kahla said, to pick-up Clinton's memoir, "My Life." Once Oprah hit the airwaves Tuesday afternoon with Clinton confessing his secrets, his plans for the future and his life with his family, Kahla said the phone at Waldenbooks began ringing off the hook.

"People began calling to find out if we had the book," he said. "They wanted to know how much the book was and how many we had left."
