THIS "ARNOLD IS A LIBERAL" BS MUST STOP
I am surprised by the supposedly politically sophisticated people on this board. Swallowing whole slanted poll stories on Davis supposed lack of support. Acting like they are excited to vote for Arnold. "after all, he's a liberal" What complete BS this is.
Any fool can see the neocon puppet master's hand so far up Arnold's butt when talks you can see fingers. Don't kid yourself for a moment, we are witness to a wholsale attack of looting lascivios pirates drooling at the prospect of siezing California's booty.
Yet you start struck fools get all misty and think Arnold actually IS the guy he plays in his films.
THIS IS SHOW BIZ, FOLKS!!! THERE'S NOTHING BEHIND THE FACADE!

ARNOLD WILL DO AS HE'S TOLD.

If we vote YES for the recall, the banks, notably Chase (Enron's banker btw) will reap billions in extra interest payments for their rating us unstable.

Warren Buffets mention " property taxes have to increase " ( todays WSJ)benefit the Corporate tax base. Middle class taxpayers ( the ones who have been in their home longest) will pick up the slack.

Drilling will re-commence off our coast while it is suspended off Jebs Fla. Coast.

Unions will be forced to eat the advances they have made for workesr everywhere since Gray took over from "deregulation Pete" Wilson.

All the progress we made in the 90's will be gone in a cloud of neocon dust.

Yeah, Arnold is liberal. And Bush was practically a democrat, remember ?

WAKE UP YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!
:grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr::grr:

5. Honestly
if anyone can stand with an (R) behind his/her name in this day and age, I can NEVER trust nor will I ever support that person. That even includes Chafee, Snowe and the other NE republicans and it definately includes Arnold.

6. Really?
I personally do not know if Arnold is liberal or not. I don't know that he would make much of a governor, but I tend to refrain from judging someone by whether or not they have a "D" or an "R" next to their name.

What are his policies? What is his platform that makes him such a rabid conservative? What do you know that makes you able to authoritatively say this? Share!

I do not support Arnold at all, bit going apeshit like this simply because you perceive him as on the other "side" is ridiculous.

7. I don't care if Jesus Christ ran as a Republican,
if you vote for him you vote for the Republican party. If you can't see that, you need to bone up on how politics works.

9.  then you've read NOTHING about the real genesis of the recall
That's all I can gather from such amazingly naive statements; but you're certainly not alone on this board.

Hey, he saved all those people in "True Lies" after all.....

10. I support him.
I like the guy. I think he's a liberal at heart and I think he'll do well.

Don't forget, he still has a Hollywood career. He wouldn't want to piss them off.

I don't see why it really even matters what I think. I don't live in California.

11. Yeah, and that Bush is so likeable and all
how could he possibly be as bad as everyone makes out?

Do you not understand the forces at work here?
Did you sleep through the election in 2000?

He's a FRONT , a nice piece of scenery, while the BFEE ravages our state behind the stage !

14. Noooooooo!!!
He may be liberal at heart but he is running for what is probably the most important governor ship as a republican, as a slave to the destructive uncaring powers that are ruining our world today. he will be a tool for the right wing, "liberal" republicans only exsist in name.

His Hollywood career is at its end. A 50 something yr old action star with heart problems isnt likely to find much work. He is already filthy rich.

It does matter, this will be another right wing coup. Add this to whats happening in Texas, the impeachment, Florida 2000, Tennessee 2000, 2 senators dead in plane "crashes" I could go on and on, and you'll see how important this is. It doesnt matter wheter you live in Sacramento or Anchorage.

19. You are showing no understanding of how politics work
How is it relevant that Arnold is a movie star and therefore will be a good governor? Has his celebrity clouded up the thought processes here?? He has so far shown no grasp of how to get things done here in CA, and if you lived here you would know we have a big mess on our hands that is not going to be fixed by a vapid, empty headed actor. I don't care how likeable he is (I personally think he is a terrible actor and arrogant as all hell), he cannot articulate policies if his life depended on it. " I will clean house" is not good enough.

27. bfee is spinning him as liberal to sucker uninformed non wingers
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 07:50 PM by 44wax
Remember Dick Riordan, repuke lite, was KKKarl's first choice to run against Davis not that lantern jawed winger named Simon. Davis ratted him out in the primaries as a liberal and the wingers went with Simon. So KKKarl is positioning Ahnold as a
liberal to snooker the voters who pulled Davis' lever in 2002.

23. Smoke and mirrors.
Rob, who although he worked in the West Wing in the fictional WH, has nothing to add to the campaign. He is probably out of a job so Arnie is helping out giving him one. There's another article in the LA Times but I don't have the link anymore.

And now we know Rob is a DINO. Well, screw him and I hope he doesn't enjoy it.

Ask WHY the gop doesn't want AS in office.

22. Yeah, whatta you base your information on?
Are you referring to any records? What business acquaintances, collegues and family does AS hang with that causes you issue?

Can you name a single statement he's made that's caused you concern?

YOU need to think about the fact he IS A KENNEDY. and

Karl Rove Hates Arnold

George Bush Hates Arnold

Arnold Hates George Bush

AS isn't in the oil game, he's in with buffet and soros, ONLY the two advocates with the most clout on this planet.

26. If they hate that much Arnold, why did they push Issa
out of the campaign especially after he spent all that money? If they hated Arnold that much, they had to know that he would step right into Issa's shoes.

30. Gotta love those "socially liberal" folks. 'Cause I know
when I'm jobless and homeless they are the ones that will always give me a quarter.

He may not be a tumor, but he sure isn't qualified to run the worlds fifth largest economy (link courtesy of Earl G.):

http://www.lao.ca.gov/2002/cal_facts/econ.html

Or any economy for that matter. Hell, the man can't even run his own life. Not to mention that's he's made a career out of being practically a silent partner with the war profiteers and arms dealers by promoting a violent shade of masculinity in his action films.

29. He campaigned for both Bushes and donated
time, money and his celebrity in their behalf. This constant idea floating around that he is secretly "liberal" or under the sway of Maria-the-Democrat, or even waiting to switch parties is crazy.

HEY: He doesn't listen to Maria on fidelity---he won't on politics.
He's already put his money and his mouth in the service of Reagan, BushI and Bush*II. He's met with Enron and the other energy "fixers" in secret. I doubt he was there as a "mole"---give me a break!

He's a tool, he's not a "liberal"-----if anything, his so-called "liberal" social attitudes smell libertarian to me but he's not a liberal, won't be a liberal and only desperation would make anyone think he's just biding his time to become a Democrat!
