Tired of slanted news programming: my letter to the "news" desk

I have noticed that your morning programming is becoming increasingly slanted. Last week, at the end of the 6-7AM show, you referred viewers to internet sites. Matt Drudge's site was mentioned. Matt Drudge is known for unfounded rumors which are biased against the left. Matt Drudge claimed that John Kerry had an affair with an intern in February--it never happened. As a news show, why would you refer viewers to such a non factual site--unless of course you were trying to politically influence them. Which begs the question: are you a news show now or a propoganda machine?

This morning, more of the same. You read, in detail, the New York Times' scathing review of Clinton while overlooking the many other positive reviews. At the same time, you spend time demonizing him for losing his temper because a reporter questioned his disclosure regarding the Lewinsky affair. This might be news if I weren't watching your show last week when Bush and Cheney lied about ties to Iraq and Al Qaeda TEN YEARS AGO. Not one time, did you have your reporters mention that the alleged "relationships" were more than ten years ago.

So let me get this straight: you trash one president over a sexual affair but you give another a free pass over a war that is costing tens of thousands of lives based on lies and flimsy evidence. Your agenda seems clear to me and I will be sharing it with others who also live in the area. Perhaps they will choose other programming for their news, as I will.

Too bad that I've been forced to do so after ten years of loyal viewing.

the papers and seemingly randomly pulling out newsworthy items. Seems like the only thing they ever find favors the conservative viewpoint.

I find it funny how you trash reporting that was inaccurate to begin with. Unfortunately for us, the reports of "no ties" were incorrect as stated by our Dem Co-Chair of the 9/11 Commission. As for your arguement about "10 YEARS AGO", that was the Clinton era.

Before you go off on a huff, get your facts straight. It is shameful for us, and makes us easy to debunk.

I was just pointing out that the only fact in the piece was that Clinton was getting a piece. If you want people to take your thoughts seriously, don't regurgitate sheeple points of view.

Also, since I corrected the piece, I don't belong here? If you don't want polite critique, don't post. I may have to re-consider my donation to the site (rec'd email request) if this is the mind-set.

I am not making a comment about freeperhood. But, how does what someone else says make you look bad?
What does 10 years ago being Clinton era have to do with the fact that the contact is old?

PS...do you know that chances are those meetings never took place since the "terrorist" in question was in the USA at that time?
