Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 01:18 PM by SoCalDem
EDITED TO ADD "SOME"..

People are taught most of what they need to know by their mothers
People love to blame everything on mothers, so here goes:

Republicans do NOT want to share....anything..
Republicans are mean spirited...
Republicans are "rule benders"
Republicans are cheaters
Republicans are greedy
Republicans are Liars

help me out here.. what are other "attributes"???

1. Ridiculous
Children have many more influences than just their mothers.

I'm was raised by highly conservative parents and look how I turned out.

6. So much for personal responsibility
Conservative republicans almost always blame "irresponsible" parents for bad things their kids do, whether it's failing in school or running away to afghanistan or joining inner-city gangs.

But when privileged children grow up to be amoral, greedy adults, it must be Clinton's Penis that's at fault.

12. I agree Children pretty much have their own life
but Parents have alot more influence on how someone turns out when they are an adult then most people think. I think if I had a bad parent, I would be out stealing and selling it for money like alot of kids in this neighborhood.

3. On behalf of my family, bite me
My mom WAS a Republican until she quit the party 4 years ago because of the takeover by the religious right. Her mom was and still is a Republican. Both of them are excellent mothers.

7. I dated a girl with a typical GOP mom
Her father (the bread winner) was never home always traveling earning the big check. Mom stayed home watching the kids and listening to Limbaugh all day in the kitchen.

Now to the point of bad mothers.

When this girl got into George Washington Univ, her mom told her (I was there when this happened) "Thanks to your stupid college I won't be getting the new car I wanted. You are a horrible daughter."

Then she slammed the door and locked her daughter out.

Nice.

10. I would have laughed if this mother followed her husband
(surreptitiously, of course) on his daily work travel, and found his other "family". Or other "wife".

9. My father was a violent alcoholic Democrat
Though I hate the Republican party with everything in me I must be honest. I have an Aunt and Uncle who are Republicans, they are honest, respectful, hardworking people who were wonderful parents to their kids.

When the police would be taking my drunken Democrat, wife beating dad out of the house when I was a child I used to wish they were my parents.

Now a days my father is a sober Democrat who went to rehab and stopped drinking and beating his wife years ago.
