bush invites campbell brown to crawford
to use the working end of a shovel.

he said this at the end of a press conference today. i only saw the end so i don't know how long it lasted. the press conference was shut down and "reporters" kept asking questions. that's when he made the remark to campbell brown. it wasn't going well for *.

then a few minutes later * started his speech on national parks and he said "rolling blackouts" again. this wasn't going well either and msnbc stepped in to say they will continue to monitor his remarks. i switched to cnn just in time to hear wolf bitzer say he will continue to monitor his remarks.

not a good day for the boob on the tube.

21. And the Electronic Stalin-Voting Machines
I agree that he is behaving like a man who knows he's already "won".

Just like during the Bloodless Coup of 2000.

3. WHY do they protect him?
WHY?

If Campbell Brown continues to kiss his ass, she is the worst of media hos. Ditto for every "reporter" who was there to hear this.

The man is out of control--doesn't the media bear some responsibility to show people the man behind the curtain?

5. Campbell? BJ's? You do the Math!
Brown couldn't get laid back in 1974 competition let alone get a story back then. Connie Chung would've performed a live masectomy on her before letting her get a Watergate story! :wtf: She's another "pretty face/easy lay" in the watered-down world of cable nets.:nopity: End of Rant.

7. Actually, I may have jumped the gun.
Was this comment specifically toward Campbell? What did she ask to get that response?

Was it an "I'm pissed now" statement, a leering, I like YOU statement, or (as Bush usually does) an infantile hey you reporters, come help me clear some brush thing?

Hmm. Campbell may not have reached media ho levels just yet.

8. Yes, he specifically addressed Campbell
She actually called him "sir."

Excuse me a minute. :puke:

Okay. Anyway, yes, he called on her specifically to work in Crawford this weekend. He said the temperature was going to be about 98.

I wish she'd said, "Oh, the same as your IQ," or some such thing, but I don't know exactly what she said in response.

17. The Media
The media is responsible for creating this idiot. They didn't like Gore, and Bush was buying them beer so they turned this arrogant, unscuccessful, do-nothing frat boy into a viable candidate. That the putz was a non-thinker, fractured the English language, pandered to the extreme right, and lied everytime he opened his mouth, was simply unimportant. When 9/11 happened they had to turn this moron into a great "war leader" instead of the bumbling fool he was, because the world was watching. So, is the media responsible for this bozo...you betcha!

6. There are no "rolling blackouts".
George Bush is a simpleton.

"Rolling" blackouts happened in California, not yesterday.

He is so dim he doesn't even get that.

9. actually....
....I've heard C. Brown ask some pretty tough questions in the past few weeks. The trouble is, he doesn't answer them.

We need more WH correspondents who look like grizzled old pitt bulls and fewer who look like Campbell Brown.

10. I think I misunderstood the original post.
So basically, he just wants her to come down and work there.
Dumb, but not as ridiculous as I thought.

18. Has anyone called him on this yet?
A reporter should ask him this question:

"Mr. PResident, is your repeated use of the term 'rolling blackouts' to describe this power outage event meant to indicate that you have some knowledge that it was intentially caused by the electricity suppliers in the same manner as was done in California by Enron?"

Are there any non-whores left there?

12. W is a pig. Sounds like a chance for him to leer AND
put her down as a east coast liberal unused to the butch things they do in Texas. This faux brush clearing is hogwash...I want a reporter to ask if he ever cleared brush before the fall of 2000.

16. Poor George is jealous because Arnie has bigger muscles
In his recent press blabs at Crawford he keeps saying how he will never be able to press as much as Arnold, or be able to arm wrestle him. He keeps reminding the press "Hey, I'm the president. I'm over here. I'm no girlie man. Look at my manly physique as I jog my brains out in 100 degree Texas heat."
