Did Cheney just diss Clinton?
I saw him shake hands with Bush I and Ford, but CLinton was looking at him to acknowledge him, and he just blew hin off.

Did I imagine that???

22. Wasn't Cheney Bill Clinton's Sec of Defense for a while.............
at the beginning of Big Dog's first term. He made a big fuss of having to resign because of health problems, but made a point of telling friends and other Washington insiders that he disagreed with Clinton's reduction and cutting of military spending.

This action, more than anything else, led to Clinton being smeared as being "anti-military" throughout both of his terms.

Those military cuts were mandated and started in the Bush I administration.

I agree Clinton probably would find humor in it, too. He knows how to laugh at himself. :)

20. LMAO
That's why freeps hate the Clenis soooooooooooooo much.

Hmmmm... two common characteristics of freeptard psychosis are an obsessions with homosexuality and the Clenis. Could it be that they all have secret crushes on him? Could they have gone violently insane after growing increasingly frustrated over their unrequited lust combined with the internal conflict about their secret sexual desires? lol

14. I think the Big Dog must have loved that
what an admission of inferiority -- too threatening to needleDick's ego to show respect for the President who actually DID preside over the longest economic expansion in US history.

16. I think they shook hands. Camera angle didn't show it.
Cheneys wife greeted with Hillary while leaning forward in their seats while Bill and Dick shook hands behind Cheneys wife. It was short, but there. Then Mrs Cheney (don't recall her name) turned her back on the Clintons while Dick shook hands and chatted with the row behind.

It was about what I'd expect from political rivals at a highly public function. I was watching because I sort of expected a total snubbing, and was a bit surprised to see any acknowledgement at all.

24. Cheney told this joke about Clinton on inauguration day
In a question-and-answer session at the end of his Toronto speech on energy, Vice President Cheney shared this good-hearted little anecdote about inauguration day:

The traditional practice is for the incoming president and vice-president to go to church that morning before you go to the White House. President Bush and I and their families went to St.John's, a little church right across Lafayette Park from the White House, for a very special church service. And we got in our cars outside in a motorcade to drive around on the way to the White House and we were held for a considerable -- fifteen or twenty minutes outside the church and waiting because president Clinton wasn't yet ready to receive us. And, of course, whether or not it was true or not, the rumor was he was upstairs signing executive orders.. ... among other
things.

Since Cheney was sitting, I believe, in the same limousine next to the soon-to-be president, one can only guess at the source of this major-league "rumor".
