FReeper response to heat related deaths in France
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/964089/posts

One would think that even in times of difference of opinion over world affairs you still retain some sense of sympathy over a tragic death. Not so over on Free Republic.

Admittedly, the FReeps are hardly models of compassion under any situation but this is totally beyond anything I've ever seen over there. People dying needlessly from the heat and the common sentiment over on the cess pool of human debris is "once they reach 3000 (WTC death count) maybe I'll feel a little sorry for them".

1. Weren't they dogging the 9/11 victims just yesterday?
Is there any rhyme or reason to their 'platform' of thought???????

That's socialism for you. No air conditioning while you're alive, but you can have it once you've died.

14. Right..
Why, if the average summer temp is 75 degrees would you WANT AC?

This is what I don't get. Why would anyone in Alaska have AC for those four hours the temp goes over 90?

My sister lives in Maine and she has no AC. The temp up there got to 100 some weeks back and they were miserable, but it still doesn't warrant AC.

The other thing I don't get is how do these morans justify hating ALL French people when it's the politicians that make the kinds of decisions they despise? I don't realy blame the average Liberian for Taylor, why would I blame some poor old lady in Paris for qwhat Chiroc does?

Fucking hateful morons!

Bush lied
people died
the freeper cheered!

21. The Freeps do blame the population for their leaders
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 01:59 PM by Michael Daniels
From post above: "I don't realy blame the average Liberian for Taylor, why would I blame some poor old lady in Paris for qwhat Chiroc does?"

But see, the FReeps don't feel that way. You should see some of the posts dealing with Iraq. General sentiment - "Well, if those camel screwing rag heads in Iraq had gotten rid of Saddam on their own, we wouldn't be there now."

The irony with that statement is the one time there was a possible rebellion in place right after Gulf War I Bush sat back and let Saddam put down the rebellion despite Bush practically telling the Iraqi's that we would support any uprising.

FReeps seem to conveniently forget that fact though.

6. They're insane
where is that British study that argues radical conservatism is a mental illness? I'm currently reading 'Blinded By the Right' and many of the people that David Brock mentions in his book exhibit this same lack of empathy. Most of these freaks really are sociopaths and should be committed/jailed accordingly.

8. As the highest per capita producers of CO2 in the world,
global warming is largely the fault of us Americans. If we do not get on board and start trying to resolve this problem, eventually the rest of the world it going to take action against us.

12. I definitely want to date this guy............
Remember this, In 76' there was a drought, then at the end of the growing season it rained, the grapes swelled up and 76' was one of the best years for French wine. So we all have something to look forward to in this. The French ARE good for something, and I seem to remember the french girls being useful also.

16. Let's face it. They are a bunch of mental cases. This just proves.......
it one more time. There is basically not a day goes by that they do not make fools of themselves and show their true colours. They thrive on their hate - it's what makes them run.

20. well, they were ripping those "lazy, loudmouth" soldier in Iraq ...
what do you expect from these dimwits

....

The niche is disappointed people, mostly men. Andrew Kohut, the highly regarded pollster for Times-Mirror, has described "the typical Limbaugh listener" as a "white male, suburbanite, conservative better-than-average job but not really a great job. Frustrated with the system, with the way the world of Washington works. Frustrated by cultural change. Maybe threatened by women."

Somebody, in short, who is not as rich, powerful or famous as he thinks he should be, and who wants to blame outside forces. The talk-show hosts help. They blame cultural (but rarely economic) elites and the government for the world's ills and regularly reinforce the listener's sense of being scorned and ridiculed.

23. I love the freeper that says....
"Those countries who stood against us before the Iraq War are responsible for EVERY life lost in Iraq -- whether the lives be coalition lives or Iraqi lives. france, more than any other country, is responsible for all the deaths of our warriors."

So because France would not send troops or weapons to kill the people of Iraq they are responsible for all the deaths in Iraq.
Gotta love that freeper logic. What an ass!

25. Primitive . . .
Spiritually primitive. But to hear them tell it, they are all such good Christians. What would Jesus do? He would help out the old folks suffering from the heat--red, yellow, black, or white--American or French or Iraqi. Jesus wouldn't be a Freeper. Bet my bottom dollar on that.
