The Dumbass Files: Dumbest Things Ever Said On FR
Edited on Wed Jun-09-04 08:57 PM by air napkin
NOTE: To all trolls out there--come and flame! I welcome it, you sniveling sonsabitches.

Yep, this is in response to FR's Special Gipper Edition of "Daily Dumbest Things Said On DU." Sure, they'll find lots of anti-Reagan sentiment to work with, but I personally think it's entertaining to watch the subhumans work themselves into a lather over our political opinions. Anyway, feel free to contribute if you're not afraid of losing brain cells by visiting their pit.

Here's mine, and it's actually from the FR counterpart of this thread:

To: WinOne4TheGipper

They're in full-tilt glee mode over at that swinish little hovel known as DUmmy land. It puts the lie to their constant moonbat ravings about how Freepers are so consumed with "hatred" and "intolerance."
Alot of them are undoubtedly upset because they remember how Reagan cut their welfare benefits and made them finally go out and get jobs during the eighties instead of laying around watching soap operas all day.

They may realize that this lull in the action for them may well cost them the election. When the country focuses on the many positive things of the Regan era it cast a very dark light on the rats, they are now in hiding.

I think you're right, though a lot of it simply has to do with the leftist nature/temperament. Most hardcore Libs--like most of them are over there--don't believe in God, and have no real moral framework that shapes their lives. Like the Nazis and the Commies, they believe that hatred is a noble instinct to indulge in against their perceived "enemies." So making light of the death of a 93 year old man--even one whom happened to be one of the greatest presidents of the United States ever to sit in the Oval Office--is Standard Operating Procedure for them. I've run into alley cats and rabid dogs with a better developed moral framework than your average poster over in DUmmy land. They are truly a sad, sick bunch, the genuine "fascists" of our time.

2. I'll explain to the Sunday school class I sometimes teach
that -- like most hardcore Libs-- I "don't believe in God, and have no real moral framework that shapes their lives."

It must be so easy to be a Freeper. Anyone who disagrees is obviously a communist and/or atheist, and they only disagree because they have no morals.

20. I'd like to know why
being an atheist means having no moral code - unlike a bunch of deeply religious people I could mention, I've never: cheated on a partner, sexually abused children, aided and abetted paedophiles, conned little old ladies into giving me a fortune, hired a prostitute (although I don't actually think that's immoral - freepers I'm sure do - atleast publicly) committed fraud etc.

Most atheists are well aware that what we do HERE and NOW counts and don't assume that simple "repenting" makes all our sins wash away, therefore we tend to take care NOT to committ them in the first place.

Some disc jockeys on a local station were talking about how one of them is banned from saying "God" (as in "Oh, my God . . .) in the bedroom.

Here's the funny part - he is moving in with his girlfriend, who is a "church girl." She obviously thinks it's ok to have premarital sex but using the word "God" in the throes of passion is out of the question!

I almost stopped reading right there. Now that we know Islam for what it is, thier barbaric laws, murderus attitude, I hope and pray that Islam will die. In some ways I thank God for 9/11. We have a more hideous enemy in Islam than we had with the old Soviet Union. I hope the monsters never gain any political vantage.

My tip off was "political vantage" and "murderus attitude". "Thier" too, sort of, but all freepers make that mistake. I'm pretty amazed this one came up with barbaric, frankly.

11. Well . . . has the World stopped, or is it just me?
Where the heck are all the freepers today . . . still standing in line I suppose to look at an empty coffin! Do they really think that his body would be put at any risk for harm. The World must have really stopped because there obviously has not been anything else important enough to report on. Obviously then none of our soldiers have been killed in Iraq because surely if there were, someone would report it . . . right? Isn't there any other news?

(UGLY RUMOR) I have heard the Republicans have hired 500 people to continue to go in circles around an empty coffin so it looks like people give a rat's ass that Mr. Reagan died. Every time the people go by the coffin, they are given another dollar. They are doing this so that it looks like everyone really admired him and were sad regarding his passing. Also, they continue to talk about how much Dubya is like Reagan and his beliefs. It is also rumored that
Mr. Reagan is actually not dead, but the Republicans feel this will really boost Dubya in the polls where he has been falling lately. (UPDATE ON RUMOR). I just made all that stupid rumor up. It's about as stupid as the rumors the Republicans made up about President Clinton the WHOLE time he was our President. I could post this one stupid statement on a couple BB's and wonder how fast it would spread. Of course, I would never do such a terribly stupid thing. And the real kicker would be the amount of people who would believe it, and when they got it in their emails, and without even researching to see if it was true, they would forward it to more of their Republican friends, or call Rush, or call Hannity. I only used this example because I have a friend's husband who sends me all kinds of crap. I research it and prove him wrong every time.

I have learned a lot this week with the constant coverage of
Mr. Reagan's death. He was a better president then I remember though. We learned new words when he was in office like the term "Homeless people" was coined while Reagan was in office. I guess because so many people were homeless during his presidency. It was more important to build up our military and give the tax cuts to his contributors. Of course, in Mr. Reagan's second term, he had to raise taxes, but you never hear anyone from the right discuss this. He held the record for the highest deficits and debt this country has ever seen. However, according to the right, he was the greatest president of all time. Similar to Dubya, except Dubya has sent young Americans to die everyday for HIS beliefs and what God tells him to do. Also, Dubya wants everyone to bow down to him and his alter of oil and greed.

Our World obviously has stopped because Mr. Reagan died. The people we pay to work for us in D.C. even didn't work this week. Oh well, they know they are going to get paid anyway whether they are there or not.

These last 10-20 years of the constant Limbaugh lies about Reagan and, also, Rush's wannabe, Hannity, who have constantly spoke of Reagan's greatness, intelligence, brilliance, and whatever else they could make up about Mr. Reagan's presidency everyday. This surely proves that if you make the same statements over and over, eventually you start to believe them to be true. Also, idealistic people are easy to convince when they hear the same statements everyday and can actually change history, in their minds, proving that they were right. After all, they have been right about everything else, why would their beliefs change, even if their beliefs are pipe dreams. History can actually be changed in this way. I like to refer to them as the Stepford Republicans, the blind, the deaf, the cognitively challenged. They believe these things because who else do they have to believe in . . . Nixon? Dubya's daddy didn't serve two terms so that leaves him out too. No, Reagan has been their only hero for the last 20 years. They had to get the masses to believe this or they would not get another Republican elected before the end of the century. Well, they didn't actually get him elected but selected and now, suddenly, Dubya is very similar to Reagan.

Surely the Republicans are not politicizing the death of Mr. Reagan by comparing him to Dubya, and stating they are so alike in their beliefs, that this would really get Dubya more votes? They claim Kerry is not campaigning this week because he would get no air time. Obviously no Democrat would actually do something like this out of respect for a previous leader of this Country who had died? Nah, only the Republicans could have such "conservative compassion" . . . that is since they have the majority.

Reagan is credited with ending the "cold war." I remember the Soviet Union went under financially 3 years after Reagan was out of office. It took 3 years before his genius kicked in I suppose. Also, due to his economical brilliance and tax cuts that he could not understand himself, we finally saw the lowest interest rates, so many jobs there were not enough people to fill them, stock market boom, unbelievable optimism, entrepreneurs everywhere, new millionaires, and on and on. I find it odd that it took 12 years for these things to kick in from Reagan's tax cuts and economics (voodoo economics per G.H.W.B., his VP). The right claims it took that long for Reaganomics and a Republican Congress to get these great times of the 90's to happen. They do not want us to remember a President during those years. I believe his name was Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton sure was lucky to be elected twice during these booming times that were due to the hard work of Ronald Reagan and the Republican Congress majority. One thing that has really stood out, in my opinion, regarding the boom of the 90's. That was maybe the Republicans had the majority; however, there is this little thing that the sitting president, Bill Clinton, could hold over their decisions . . . and that is called a V-E-T-O. If he did not agree to the laws the Republicans and/or Democrats presented and passed on to him, then he would VETO it. Seems to me that he was the one with the true power, control, and through his genius, this country finally no longer had a deficit but a surplus, we no longer had a debt. Naahh. That's not what Hannity or Limbaugh has been saying so it must not be true.

So our World has stopped due to Mr. Reagan's death! Since he died on Saturday, I believe they have flown that casket back and fourth and his poor wife has had to endure publicly everyday a new memorial, another funeral-like ceremony. One ceremony is enough for anyone. Nancy Reagan has had to endure this and it won't be over, as far as ceremonies, until this Friday for her and the family. I don't care what Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, or Dubya did or didn't do. I do, however, see the same pain in this family that we all see in the deaths of our friends and families deaths. I just feel this is very cruel of the Republicans to continue to use this week to get more of their "agenda" into the public eye. They are using this man's death and his families grief. After all, it's always political, isn't it?

In closing, I'm wondering what all of this is costing us? You know, I wish we could have gotten a mahogany coffin; however, we could not afford it. Social Security only contributed $250.00 toward his burial. His funeral was over $5000.00, and that was the cheapest they had. Also, my mother-in-law stopped receiving his Social Security Retirement check, and due to the time of the month he died, she had to mail back almost the previous half-month's check. I wonder, does Mrs. Reagan continue to get Mr. Reagan's retirement check? Do they continue to get the free health care that our tax dollars provide all of those who took the week off as well? I do not know for sure; however, if the law does not state that she does, I'm sure we will have a new one that will give her what she needs, or any future widow of a president before the end of the week.

That is one thing I have to give the Republicans credit for . . . they can change the law in a heartbeat to fit what they need, to be able to redistrict an area so there are no longer Democratic majorities, only Republican. After all, that is how Catherine Harris got elected in Florida. It was all due to redistricting by Gov. Bush.

Whew, got carried away on this one. (sorry)

41. How ironic
that they derisively use the term "fascist" without knowing its meaning, or that fascism is the very definition and foundation of their ideology. :)

It's also revealing how conservatives often confuse morality with a belief in a christian god. Morality to them is spiteful dogma rather than well considered ethics. Their perverted hateful version of christianity bears no resemblance to the teachings of the new testament Jesus.

I want to quote someone from a different thread:

"And that sleaze Clinton's still on his first wife? Must be some kind of slacker."

47. Yeah....
and gay marriage would "violate the sanctity of marriage". Meanwhile, on Jerry Springer..."Who wants to marry a prostitute?"

49. Actually, not dumb one: Freeper is fed up with Rush
To: Helms
Rush put himself forward as the spokesman for conservatives in this country.

He constantly brags about his power to influence. He claims that it takes six weeks of listening to "get" him, and by then, he has "got" the person.

When Rush puts himself forward as a (or the) leader of conservatives, then we find out that he was messing with a married woman (and possibly helped break up the marriage), deals with illegal drugs, hires one of the top criminal lawyers in the country (for the last nine months at $500 per hour), and then announces his third divorce the weekend of RR's funeral, we have reason to be disgusted. He is like a kid who can't grow up, no matter how many fresh starts he gets.

Radio works on numbers. The viewers made Rush rich because he was saying what we wanted to hear. WE paid for his 24 million dollar house. WE paid for his plane. WE paid for all his luxury cars. WE paid for his lackeys. WE paid for his lavish lifestyle. And WE paid for his drugs.

To say that his life is now none of our business, and that we have to be "as supportive as possible" is ludicrous. We have already "supported" him to the tune of 250 million dollars. And he is the one who continuously messes up. When is enough, enough?
