Point about Arnold and his economic advisors
He has Warren Buffet as an economic advisor now, but didn't he denounce the Bush taxcuts and economic record recently? I think this may cause the White House to tread carefully with regard to the recall. They got burned last year when they backed Richard Riordan, offending social conservatives and Bill Simon thumped him in the primary. Social conservatives will likely not be happy if * endorses Arnold, and now with the Warren Buffet appointment, I wonder just how much enthusiasm economic conservatives will have for Arnold, or if the White House will want to spend political capital on a candidate who is taking economic advice from a man who has denounced their policies.

after spending 20 million dollars here and still isn't popular. Buffet is to the LEFT of most Dems in his ideology. Therein lies the problem for Arnold and the Dems as he will NOT get the conservative vote but will be able to peel away DEM votes.

On edit: As angry as Californians are at Davis, letters in the LA Times ( the largest circulation of ANY SO Cal paper) run 5 to 1 against Bush.

2. Optimistic about Buffet
Warren Buffet is a Democrat and a strong supporter of progressive issues. Buffet counseled Sen Bob Kerrey to SUPPORT President Clinton's tax package.

Buffet basically owns Geico, which lost millions when Prop 103 was passed.

3. Do you have any proof that Buffet is an advisor for Arnold?
I find it hard to believe.

4. Here is an article
Warren Buffet named Schwarzenegger's campaign adviser

LOS ANGELES— Arnold Schwarzenegger has named Warren Buffett as his senior financial and economic adviser in his bid to replace Gray Davis, the Republican's campaign announced Wednesday.

Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, is a billionaire investor legendary for his financial prowess. He is also a Democrat.

"What he will be doing is assembling other prominent business leaders and economists and setting up a team to address the issues facing California," said Schwarzenegger spokesman Sean Walsh.

Buffett said in a statement: "I have known Arnold for years and know he'll be a great governor. It is critical to the rest of the nation that California's economic crisis be solved, and I think Arnold will get that job done."
