The worst part of the Reagan legacy:
he chose papa Bush as his V.P. Had he not, no one was going to go out of one's way to have another Bush in the White House.

2. Papa Bush in the WH after 8 years of Reagan was hard to
swallow. Getting G. Jr. after Clinton and instead of Gore in there was even more unreal. I don't think any of them got there legitimately prior to 2000 now that I think about it :tinfoilhat:. George, Jr. was definitely appointed.

3. The neo-cons originally backed Bush
As did the moderates--who back then had a lot more clout within the party. Bush then changed his position on abortion, denied ever saying "voodoo economics" and gave the ticket someone with Washington experience.
