edit to add: I don't want to sound like the parents should blame themselves - like I am saying, "I told you so". I only saw a clip on the local news and heard some of it on the radio, but the pain was palpable.

A friend of mine was telling me the other day that the important thing is not the pain... What matters is not the pain but how we deal with it. Thought the words were quite profound though I wasn't quite sure how they really apply to any of this but they do sound good...

The thing that actually hurt me the most is to hear that soldiers are beginning to die in their sleep. I've wondered if it's not from having hearts so broken that their sub-conscience willingly chooses to stop breathing.
