With Bush, its garbage and spittle coming out in a babbling sort of way. Only thing missing is the Drool Cup.

2. actually, i thought reagan played the idiot very well
Edited on Sun Jun-06-04 05:43 PM by noiretblu
there is something positively reaganesque about the current one playing the idiot, except for the lack of wit, charisma, intelligence, self-confidence, and so on :7
i guess that's because reagan had some acting experience.

3. Exactly... I know he wasn't all there towards the end, but at least...
Edited on Sun Jun-06-04 05:53 PM by hlthe2b
he had the ability to speak and truly was intuitive when it came to communicating. I don't think he was unintelligent, either. Nor do I believe that he would not have been quite likeable and fairly sincere on a personal level, however ruthless as a politician. HOWEVER, there is no way I could be anything but angry for the horribly repressive policies he brought to bear, whether conceived by him or whether he simply went along with the malicious squad that surrounded him in his administration and in Congress.

Bush, I believe is the most narcissistic, manipulative, exploitive, arrogant, and imbecilic ass we could ever have had thrust upon us. I have no problem believing the affable frat boy act is just that--an act to manipulate and I believe he is as malicious as those arround him--perhaps more. I also have no problem believing the Capitol Hill Blues report suggesting what a two faced mean son-of-a bitch he is when the cameras are not watching. We already have documentation (e.g., his comments to Al Hunt during GHWB's campaign, his "who thinks what you think," attack on the mildly critical reporter who deigned to question him at a political event early on in his pResidency).

Say what you will, but at least Reagan was not afraid to talk directly to the people, rather than only to pre-selected worshipping supporters.

I hated Reagan policies. I honestly never hated Reagan. Flame away those who disagree...

5. No question. This guy could talk. The best thing about him.
Bush always looks clueless and is lost if he isn't reading from a piece of paper.

He MELTED!!!!!

Reagan woulda laughed his way out.

Bush Melted; Embarrassed the shit outta his Speech Team, his former Speech Teachers, and his writers. I pity his writers, they must be exasperated by now.

11. Good Point, Opi! Ain't it the truth! A liar who is an actor and can
speak in a sentence that "communicates" what he means to say..in a clear connection to his brain, comes across better (even when he had early Alzheimer's Diseas) than the "no nothing, no brain, never been there or thought about that...Bush idiot.

He can't speak...He can't inspire because he can't speak...He comes off as an idiot because he can't speak...and he can't speak because A: He's been drugged or winged out so long...he can't connect words into a sentence or B: He is so ignorant and lazy that he doesn't even make the effort figuring he "pays" folks like Rove, etc. to do his work for him.

After all...if one is a "sock puppet" why does one have to have an "original thought" in their heads? Why not pay those who are more "clever" to do it for you?

An extremely cynical view..I know. But, hey...it's what I think for whatever it's worth...
