Well, confirmed: C-Span-2 cuts out "negative comments" about Bush*.

Jon Stewart this morning on BookTV: he started saying something about Bush in response to a question from the audience. I don't now if he said that Bush was stupid or not (he started saying that people THOUGHT he was stupid) then...frozen...a little sign came up saying "Audio Trouble." Then, after his entire comment about Bush was done (I don't know what he actually said) the Audio is miracously restored.

Then I rewatched this afternoon to check if they would play that bit... GONE!!!
He and other people used the word FUCK liberally during the show...so the bad words are not censored.

It's really kind of odd since Jon Stewart wrote a book bashing Bush. Isn't that kind of the point?????

This strikes me as big brother trying to kill off anti-Bush messages in the media. Remember when Bill Burkett was about to tell the Bush record purging story on HBO. His audio went dead just when Burkett started to speak.

I really hope that Marr tries to have Burkett on again so he can tell his story to a national TV audience.

The first time or two I chalked it up to technical problems. However, after about the third time, I could only conclude that the material was being blocked out intentionally.
