An enemy has fallen...
I may have loathed him when he walked the earth, I may curse him now for all those he abandoned, wounded and killed, and for all his terrible and destructive deeds. He may indeed have been an incarnation of evil -- he was, after all, a mighty enemy.

But he is dead, and will fight no more. And, as the ancients did, I want to allow this fallen enemy's cohorts to carry him from the field, dress his body, and to bury him.

The battle will resume quickly enough -- but for the moment, I salute the fallen enemy for having been a formidable and tenacious foe, and for quickening my resolve to fight -- until I too die -- against all that which he stood for.

-De mortuis nil nisi bonum
-Fas est et ab hoste doceri

1. Is that a Klingon prayer?
If not, sell it to Star Trek quick!

4. I think it might be from the movie Troy.
I could swear that I heard a simalar line uttered. Or it could be something from ancient Roman litereature. The lst two lines are in Latin.

2. Ray-gun, Democrat became a John Bircher
when he met Nacy, ruined California's educational system, etc. as Governor.
He didn't make my stomach churn like Bu$h II, I was just askance and hated his administration's policies and hypocracy. I was in France during the reign of Ray-gun and could not understand why Americans were so enamoured of Ray-gun.
Under him, over 200,000 Guatemalean Indians were killed. Was Ray-gun responsible? He probably had Alzheimer's already and easily lead by the nose, still. Is G. Bu$h I responsible? You bet your bottom dollar. How responsible are the American people?
Let the enemies bury their dead.

i never understood his popularity, but the country became an uglier place during his reign...much like now. i considered his first candidacy as more of a joke than bush II's. i never thought he's be elected in a zillion years. and yes, we are as responsible for giving our government away to actors and/or imbeciles.
