What will Carter say?
Oh, my Democratic brothers and sisters, please let's follow the example of a truly great man, and just repeat whatever statement of condolence Mr. Carter makes. It's bound to be classy, and Jimmy will write it himself.

1. Carter is a human being first
and a politician second.

3. those who want to judge Christianity by the RW, should instead
view it through the example of Carter. He truly believes and follows his beliefs

2. It will definately be said with class
whatever he says. In great contrast to the way Reagan used to speak about Carter.

4. What Carter could reminisce about, jokingly, but won't:
RR on Jimmy Carter, 9/2/80:

He's opening his campaign down in the city (Tuscumbia, AL) that gave birth to and is the parent body of the Ku Klux Klan.

The next day, the Knights of the KKK Grand Wizard Don Black said that Reagan, despite his criticism of the KKK, was still "the best of the three" major candidates. In fact, on 7/30/80 Bill Wilkinson, leader of The Invisible Empire, Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, wrote an endorsement for the group's newspaper which said that the GOP platform sounded "as if it were written by a Klansman."
