Linda Chavez: The Abu ghraib prison attacks: You would not
have an moral, Christian person doing what these soldiers did to the prisoners.
I guess she has never gone to Freeperland!!!!
Or listened to Bush*!!!!!!

1. As a Christian myself, I am so damned tired
of hearing shit like that. Christians are human, like everyone else, and not everyone who calls himself a Christian really is one. You can call yourself whatever you want, but that doesn't make it so. I've known many people who've called themselves "Christian", who were no such thing.

2. Chavez and her people categorize us - someone is a 'good American'
or a 'good Christian' when they are right wing, probably evangelical if it's a religious issue - everyone else is rabble to them.

3. True;
I don't consider myself a "good Christian", but I've known some who consider themselves "good Christians", and never came close; without seeming to brag, I consider myself a "heathen", and I've been a "better" Christian that the holier-than-thous who call themselves "good Christians".

5. I don't belong to any religion created by men; I do believe in an
inner force that exists to help us when we need it.
But the rest of the members in my family are atheists and they behave like "Christians" would if they practiced the essence of Christ's teachings: generosity, concern for fellow human beings, desire to help and contribute to society...

6. Are you suggesting that Freepers or Bush* are Moral or Christian?
:shrug: They are neither Moral or Christian by their actions or their words.

7. But that is the audience she is pandering to. So she must be
thinking that they represent what she calls moral and Christian.

8. Oh puleeze. Put a blond wig on Chavez and you get a fat
Ann Coulter. Neither of these RW ladies have a clue about what they are talking about except that it excites their biased and bigoted readers.
