6. I would call the Democratic population of that state "trapped"
I think it must be even worse there than it is here in Mississippi. Here most of the local elected officials are Democrats (nominally, at least).

I wouldn't mind if you called us all Longhorns.

BTW, anyone from Ohio? The Horns just beat Youngstown State 10-3 in the NCAA baseball regional being played in Austin.

13. Egotistical braggarts. Not all, but mostly the ones the rest of us hear
about.

The epotomy of the "ugly american".

My wish would be for the biggest piece of humility ever created would find a home there.

Especially, since they really don't have much basis in fact - as in - there are pretty wonderful places in everywhere I've ever been.

Then there are the ones I personally know, including my family from there, and they belie that image.

Great paradox.

A prime example are the beautiful skyscrapers of Houston - but the minute you enter them, you are faced with ugly and non-existant lobbies - all flash and no substance. Worst weather I've ever experienced - might as well wrap yourself in a plastic bag - ugh!

14. We Are Texans
And like the bummperstickers ALL say, "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could."

Could all you lurker immigrant repugs just go back home now and take your little repug children with you so we can be a democratic state again?

And all of you who moved here because of the zillions of jobs and bitch, bitch, bitch all the time just not let the screen door hit you in your perfect ass on your way out when you leave to go home to your wonderful wherevers?

And the rest of you can just stop acting so damned jealous. You look like a bunch of ridiculous snotwads.

It's all a freaking myth. Sam Houston's Texas is GONE. Get over it.

Thank you very much.
