I urge everyone to hear Sharpton speak
at least once in person, not just in a sound byte. I heard him speak tonight at an event sponsored by the "Democratic Leadership for the 21rst Century" in NYC. I have donated money to Kerry's campaign but after tonight,I am giving double to Sharpton. I think he is going to be a key element in getting the Democratic party back in shape whether he wins the primary or not. I think he can inspire the disenfranchised to believe in the system again, to get out and vote, to be involved. The audience was a mixed crowd and you can feel when a speaker sweeps a crowd to the kind of hysteria to make change. I was thoroughly and totally impressed.

1. What kind of venue was it? How many people were there?
If he came to the Bay Area, I'd make a point of going to hear him.

2. Coda
is the name of the club. I would say there were 400 people there.

3. Sharpton is an awesome speaker
But I had to choose between Kucinich and him for my last donation, and I decided I'd rather have Dennis stick around.

4.  I think he can register more voters
like African American youth, gays, lesbians, and people who have given up on the system.
