Bush Likens War Against Terrorism to WWII

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - President Bush compared the fight against terrorists to the struggle against tyranny that forced World War II, telling new Air Force officers Wednesday that the United States and its allies can win the battle by bringing freedom and reform to the Middle East.

"Our goal, the goal of this generation, is the same" as it was in World War II, Bush said. "We will secure our nation and defend the peace through the forward march of freedom."

Bush told 981 graduates of the Air Force Academy that they will be joining a war whose central front is Iraq and the broader Middle East.

The graduates wore dress uniforms of white pants, blue tunics and gold sashes around their waists. Bush spoke in the academy's football stadium - at more than 7,000 feet above sea level - under partly cloudy and breezy skies.

3. Yep
it was all about a country (allied with only a couple of nations) that had plans to invade and conquer part of the world while the rest of the world grappled on what to do about it. Similar start.

5. No FDR But
he does mimic Stalin in his actions. The two are much alike. He terrorizes his own people with anti-Patriot Acts and nonstop spyng on them. He totures and murders innocent people by the thousands. He set up a secret system of Gulags that answers to no legal authority. He does what he wants with money that Congress appropriates. He does not make personal appearances like a normal head of state. Oh yeah, and he is an bloodthirsty psychopath who surrounds himself with the worst bunch of trash for a cabinet since Grant.

7. He launched his own "Pearl Harbor" by attacking Iraq.
It could be argued that World War II was the LAST war the US fought that was justified. Iraq is not.

Iraq did not attack the US, the US launched an unprovoked attack on Iraq killing many innocent people whose name is not Saddam Hussein (who just happens to still be alive)

Th US is involved in a brutal occupation that will never end because of the vast natural resources in Iraq coveted by the greedy few in power, using the rhetoric of liberation and freedom to propagandize the troops into sacrificing their lives for the economic betterment of a class of people that would never send their own flesh and blood into harms way for their own agrandizement.
