1. He's the "Deadline Poet" for The Nation
His poems appear in every one of their issues. Some of the best ones are only 2 lines long with a long and exhaustive title.

2. Trillin's just brilliant!
Great writer (great prose and poetry) and all-around funny guy. He used to appear regularly on the Tonight Show (when Carson was still host and it hadn't yet been dumbed down).

She was one of the great straight people in the history of comic writing and died on the one day that ensured that virtually no one would notice.
