"What's wrong with the Fabricator endorsing the Terminator"?
Jack Cafferty just read a reader's e-mail on the CNN Morning Show concerning the White House's support for Ahhnold. Anyone else catch it?

"What's wrong with the Fabricator endorsing the Terminator for governator?"

Brilliant, whoever you are!

1. California recall
It becomes increasingly clear that the whole recall mess was and is orchestrated from HQ in DC, specifically Karl Rove. The object, of course, is to try to put CA in the GOP column in next year's presidential election. The weepy withdrawal from the race by Issa was obviously ordered by Rove in order to avoid splitting the right-wing vote. I'm sure that a transcript of phone calls from Rove to Shwartzeneger and Issa would go all the way back to January or February of this year, right after Davis was reinstalled in the CA governor's office.
As evil as Rove is, one has to admit that he is one of the most brilliant political minds in the business.

3. We need to highlight Rove's involvment
As evidence comes out--Arnold's win (assuming he wins) will have some positive effects for President Bush, but there's some potential problems too. particularly because many traditionalist or religious Conservatives are not that comfortable with Schwarzenegger. Thus President Bush's best response is a sort of pleased from afar stance rather than a kingmaker stance.
